Sugar is not an issue unless you are diabetic. I consume 400-500grams of sugar a day.

Keep a consitent sodium in-take and eat plenty of potassium and you will have no issues.

I was 6'4" 130 pounds at one point and was a "hardgainer" and "could eat whattever I want and not gain weight!!" Eat more, simple. I'm eating 6000 calories now, there is no excuse. I don't care how much you eat, simply eat MORE. /rant off

A protein shake is just food, nothing more. You can bulk up on protein shakes/food or cut down with protein shakes/food.

I just made a near 4000 calorie meal, not hard at all. 1660 calories isn't much.
