  • yeah, i did the same thing, only i went for months and not only gained it all back but packed on 6 extra pounds. so we are in the same boat. if you keep positive, i will keep positive!
  • i agree with this. a deficit is a deficit, it doesn't "work more" if your deficit is larger.i have lost 30 pounds this way (unfortunately i went through some tough times and gained all the weight back  ) also it is easier to stick to a diet when you allow yourself to eat food.
  • i have one too... they are only about $5 at target.
  • do you count the calories of a marinade, or do they all "cook off"?
  • marinate for 1/2 an hour in paul newman's light italian salad dressing with lemon and broil.
  • i find that mfp kind of overestimates.
  • i am just wondering, when i log a subway sandwich, does the calorie count include cheese? ( i don't think it does).

  • YES!!!! i think it is 60 degrees in here! i have on a wool sweater. it is august in texas and i am sooooo cold!:explode:
  • i had lost 9 pounds. now i have gained 5 of it back. i track my food. i exercise a ton. i think that eating all my exercise calories is what's killing the weight loss. there are days where i eat over 2000 calories because of working out. i'm just bummed out. and trying to figure out what my problem is. i have cut back…

  • you know what i am in the same position. i had lost 11 pounds, and then i went on vacation for 2 weeks and gained 6 pounds back. it's just a matter of getting back into the routine, but for some reason that is SO HARD. i am slowly getting my motivation back and i'm sure you will too. :flowerforyou: baby steps
  • welcome! this is a great site. best of luck to you!
  • Dear sports bra, you are the best At holding back my bouncing breasts! You put me in a happy mood When I have my mono-boob! One day gravity will take hold (I know it's part of getting old) But right now you're so uplifting I don't feel that down they're drifting. I'd never rant, I have to rave it! Of all my gym clothes,…
  • i think that mfp overestimates calories burned sometimes. that being said - rollerblading is hard work (really!) and that number is probably close to accurate. good job lady!
  • i was voted most argumentative.
  • CONGRATULATIONS!:drinker: the same thing happened to me earlier this year. it is SUCH a good feeling. i'm happy for you!
  • it'll get easier! not because you won't be hungry. because you will get used to making healthy decisions about what to eat. congratulations on conquering your hungry inner demon, you did good!:flowerforyou:
  • i am not that great at minding my carbs. my calories, i'm like a nazi. but carbs i let go. is that really bad, or just a little unhealthy? am i sabotaging myself:wink:

  • i ususally gain a couple of pounds in water weight a day or two before "the event". to avoid water retention you are supposed to avoid salt but i would rather retain water than live without salt! oh - and congratulations! 2 pounds is a great start! this is a great site, welcome. :drinker:
  • i have one on my back, and where the skin is close to the bone it was pretty painful. but nothing to be terrified about.
  • they were being misguided - they equated tracking calories to anorexia for some reason.
  • CONGRATULATIONS:happy: that is a great feeling when someone notices all your hard work.
  • DON'T STARVE YOURSELF as if.
  • i did - i has some frozen yogurt with mixed berries. i think kerri is right though - tired because of lack of food.
  • they do burn a lot of calories, if you are paying attention. i take spin class and it burns a ton of calories. when i am by myself just watching tv, not so much. i guess it depends on how much you like riding. i personally stare at the clock for the entirety of spin class because i don't like biking that much.
  • hey that is pretty awesome! i wish i could break boards on the first try.
  • i worked 11 hours today and took kickboxing class after, which earned me about 600 calories. all i have in the house is diet food and i have eaten 700 of my 1200 calories i have left for the day. i would rather just sit here and be hungry, than get up and eat something.
  • i have been eating those "skinny cow" ice cream sandwiches for breakfast. yum. ice cream for breakfast is AWESOME:tongue:
