  • Congrats - that's awesome!! Keep up the great work :)
  • It's completely normal to fluctuate some due to water, salt intake, and muscle that you are building so don't get too down about it. That's exactly why I don't weigh myself every day because I know it's going to fluctuate. I stick to a once a week weigh-in on Monday mornings before I eat or drink anything.
  • I would - exercise tends to relieve some stress and a nice run always helps me relax. It's way more likely to help you than hurt you ;) Take it easy at first though if you're stomach is really bothering you and work into a normal pace.

I keep my breakfasts around 200 calories but eat good foods that keep me full until lunch. Oatmeal, peanut butter on toast, Kashi cereal, etc. are great options that have good amounts of protein :)
  • I love my Garmin!! It's an amazing tool. Does Polar have GPS? I would highly recommend a Garmin 405 :)
  • 4.0 is a comfortable walking pace for me, when I really want to push it I walk at 4.5 which I would consider a "very brisk walk". Jogging for me is over 4.5 since I can't really keep up walking faster than that. I'm 5'7".
  • I add any kind of fresh fruit I have at the time - banana, strawberries, blueberries, etc. - and ground flaxseed (my husband also puts yogurt in his) and blend it all together. It's yummy!
  • If you're ever going to run outside - go with the Garmin. The GPS is so awesome! I got a non-GPS Garmin a couple of years ago and when I ran my a half marathon last year I wore it to see how accurate it was. By the end of 13.1 miles, my watch said I had gone 15 (I had a foot pod). I immediately regretted not going for the…
  • Yes, I am on Synthroid as well. I've been taking it every morning since the beginning of December. It seems to be helping with other symptoms like sluggishness but I haven't lost weight. Haven't gained any more weight while taking it though so that's a plus! Thanks for all of the support and advice!!! This site is…
