I simply fit them into my day. I know that it's unrealistic to believe that I will never eat cake, chips and pizza again. I know it will happen. So when I'm in the mood (not everyday) I include them in my deficit. If I know I'll be going out to eat with friends I will throw in an extra workout and make healthier choices…

Welcome back Bobby. The support on MFP is amazing. Find yourself a core group of supporters to help push you and cheer you on your journey.

I'm not too far. I'm in the valley, specifically El Monte.
-
Couldn't have said it better myself.

If you're dedicated and put in the work, then you will definitely reach your goal!
-
It's not very accurate with the workouts.
-
As a 5'6" guy, my goal is 130.

I'm 10 pounds away from my goal weight and my moobs were the first to go. Now if only I could say the same for my stubborn love handles. :)

Yoga or body weight training.
-
I don't believe there is a way to do that.

I get this all the time, especially from my grandmother. I've come to realize that it is one of two things. 1- People simply don't like change. In your case, as well as mine and most of the people on MFP; friends and loved ones see us after a very drastic change. 2- Insecurity. Your loss only helps to remind them of their…

Congratulations on the loss so far, 37 pounds is an amazing loss. I can definitely relate to the struggle of sticking to it. I have no doubt you'll reach your goal. By the way I'm subscribed to obesetobeast on YouTube. His story is really inspirational.

Also watch your alcohol, especially with sugary cocktails.

Log it in, even if you go over. I would also suggest that you skip the chips and salsa, those calories aren't really worth it. Ask for the guacamole and sour cream on the side when possible.

I once had a two month plateau. Just keep getting in your workouts and being in a deficit and the scale will eventually move again. Also try mixing up your workouts, either in duration or intensity. Or switch it up and try incorporating a different workout (like hiking, biking, or swimming) if you have the time.

Remember that your body loses weight at different rates all over your body. Eventually it will even out.
-
Just focus on creating healthy lifelong habits that will not only help you lose the weight, but help you keep it off as well.

"1,000 unspent calories"- I'm assuming that you are also including the calories you burned at the gym here. Because If you are only eating 680 calories a day, that is not good at all. I would suggest you add in calorie dense foods into your diet like nuts, avocados, greek yogurt, sweetpotatos, whole wheat breads and…

Calories in vs calories out, that it. I didn't join a gym, although I plan on doing that when I transition my goal to gaining muscle. I didn't have fancy equipment. I didn't use any special program. I didn't radically change my diet (I still have paste, ice cream, Chinese, everything but soda. I just enjoy these things in…

Congrats on getting started dude. That is always the hardest step. I started on MFP about two years ago myself. A few tips I can give you. 1 Don't sweat the bad days. There will be days when you can't make it to the gym or you go over your deficit. Keep in mind that in the long run a few bad days wont delet all of your…

I have 7 pounds to go to reach my first goal of losing 100. After that I might still go for another 10 pounds. I have seen in these last few months my weight loss start to slow down. Why I use to lose in a mont I have to now put in two/three months of work.

Hey from LA. Welcome Matt! MFP is a great tool!
-
If you are burning a lot of calories walking at work then the answer is simple, you are simply taking in more calories than you need. MFP will be a great help in this area. Calories can add up quickly when we don't pay attention. I remember my first day on MFP, I ate 75% of my calories on breakfast. That was a big wake up…

It seems like you are determined and that is what is going to drive you to reach your goal. You might have started on this journey because of a horrible situation, but like you said now you can focus on you. By the way your dog looks a little like Scooby Doo.
-
It is a little confusing at first, but you'll quickly get the hang of it.
-
Find yourself a key group of supporters that will push you and keep you motivated/accountable. Although, ultimately you have to rely on yourself for motivation/accountability. Having friends on here does help though.

You are either not eating enough calories or since you are basically in the normal range you could be over training. If your deficit is set to 1,000 a day lower it to 500 and take a day of rest in between your weight lifting sessions.
