  • I have 150 to lose too. I've lost 6 so far. I've been using MFP for about three weeks and I LOVE it! Feel free to add me..and anyone else that wants to as well.
  • I'm posting again :-) I have my grandmother's trampoline from years ago...many many years and I'm over 300 lbs. and I've used it a little bit and it hasn't broke, but on another note, they used to make things a lot more sturdy (and to last) than they do today so I have no idea about the newer ones. Also there are bicycle…
  • I found a rowing machine that might help him. Has he considered this type of exercise? Here's the web addy at amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Stamina-Body-Glider-Rowing-Machine/dp/B000AMUFPS/ref=sr_1_35?ie=UTF8&qid=1303519517&sr=8-35
  • Do they still make the exercise trampolines? My grandmother had one years ago and it seemed pretty sturdy...maybe he could look into finding one of those. I'm not sure what the weight capacity is on one of those but one would think it would be more since its much closer to the ground.
  • I have changed my eating habits completely to a more healthy diet, but I too love the junk food, and the easy to prepare foods. Try eating out once a week instead of several times. You can always buy the healthy choice frozen meals that are already prepared for you. Those are still good choices even though the sodium…
  • I think two fairly good sized chicken breasts should make about 2 to 2 1/2 cups shredded chicken. I cook with chicken a lot :-)
  • Bump....This sounds great..thanks for sharing!!!
  • Bump...I'm making this tonight...Thanks so much!!!
  • Wow, Amazing photos...You are such an inspiration...thanks for sharing :-)
  • The blood test that my doctor did to check my levels was called an "A 1 Fasting" blood test. If you are really concerned about it, the next time you go to the doctor tell them you want to have a test scheduled...You'll have to not eat or drink after midnight and they usually do the test in the morning.
  • Relaxation meditation before you go to take the test might help you to not be so anxious. And try to look at it this way. 1. It's a driving test, that is all. If you don't pass it, it does not make or break you, it does not mean you are stupid or incapable of anything. 2. You can survive without a driver's license, people…
  • Amazing!!! Thanks for sharing...
  • What an amazing job you've done. Thank you so much for sharing. Such amazing inspiration for those of us who have a lot to lose and are just beginning our journey. I wish you the best on the 5k run. You can do anything if you are willing to set your mind to it and you have clearly shown us that its doable.…
  • I do it too. I've been using MFP for 17 days now and I've become a junkie. I'm reading labels on everything and counting calories on everything as well. My husband says I'm driving everyone crazy telling them how many calories are in whatever they are deciding to eat, but on an up note, I'm cooking more healthy and my…
  • I try really hard not to deprive myself too much, because cutting all the things you love out of your diet completely will make for a binge later. It's a life change, and in order to stick with it you need to allow yourself some things you enjoy. Like yesterday I wanted french fries with my george foreman grilled hamburger…
  • I quit smoking a year and a half ago and gained 40lbs. I had smoked for 19 years so it was a real battle for me to quit. Now that I finally have that addiction under control I knew it was time to focus on the weight problem. Tackling one problem at a time worked best for me because I could put my full focus on the task at…
  • I'm new to MFP, and I am loving it so far. I'm hoping to make some real friends as well. I appreciate people who are real, its becoming a rare quality. I'm very supportive and very real. I'm one of these people that if you don't want to hear the truth then don't ask my opinion and I don't tell people just what they want to…
  • What an amazing inspiration...Thanks for sharing!!!
  • Thanks! A friend of mine got me started as well and I'm loving this site and calorie counter. I'm hoping it will keep me motivated as well. Glad you joined :0)
  • I'm new too. I just started a few days ago and I love it as well. You can add me if you'd like a friend that is supportive and encouraging. I try my best to stay upbeat though that isn't always easy. I have a lot to lose so I'm taking it one day at a time.
  • I know how you feel Lori. I quit smoking about a year and a half ago and I have gained 50lbs. There are some days that I wonder if it was worth it because I was over-weight to begin with. I just joined MFP a few days ago myself and I have a lot of weight to lose. You can add me if you'd like a friend who is encouraging and…
