I believe if your eating a varied diet you can probably get by without any. That being said, I have a multivitamin, fish oil (as I don't tend to eat fish often), vitamin D and creatine.

Without going in to details - this may be a factor....

TBH - I'm agnostic in terms of the health implications of diet soda. I've not seen anything reputable that conclusively proves sweeteners have any adverse effects. They do help if I get a craving for something sweet and I don't have many calories to spare. I was just curious whether others had noticed any water gain as a…

@StealthHealth Just for clarity - I weigh each morning at the same time, after peeing.

I'm a big fan. Low impact, easy to do, stress relieving and burns calories. Very under-rated IMO.

Hi I managed to gain 15lbs in 3.5 weeks in Australia. Less activity, more alcohol and eating out on a regular basis. But I enjoyed myself and got back to healthy ways and have lost 6lb in the couple of weeks since I returned. I don't beat myself up about cutting loose for a few weeks.

In my experience the danger is not the alcohol but the tendency to think IDGAF about the diet after a few drinks! Relax - as long as you revert back to counting cals 2 days will not affect your progress in the long term!

1) Expect there will be off days or even weeks. No one is perfect and gaining a few pounds doesn't ruin your diet. Just relax and go back to the habits that brought you success in the first place; 2) Find an activity that you actually enjoy. I started off doing cardio which I hated and couldn't keep up, when I found…

I gained 4lb from a mini-splurge Sunday night. Generally, will take 4-5 days for weight to come off for me.

+1 for the dog walking. Any time I'm bored and feel like eating I take the dogs out for a 30 minute walk and by the time I get home the urge has usually passed.
-
We have a winner! After 4 days - I'm back to my pre-blowout weight. Phew!
-
I managed to gain 7lb in 3 days! Don't beat yourself up about it. Slip ups happen. Just get back to your regular routine and the weight will start to come off again.
-
I reckon 12-13%. Good starting point for slow bulk.
-
Thanks all. Going to keep cutting for a while and try to get down to 12-13% bf, then reverse diet gradually in to 250 cal surplus. At least last few week have been a break from dieting and I feel motivated to try and cut the last 10 lbs.

Hi. I use an apple watch and select "Other" workout and it records my calories burned
-
Did unassisted wide grip pull ups for first time ever (4 reps). Took a lot to even attempt it as I've failed miserably in the past.
-
Good for you mate. Sometimes being told you can't do something is actually the best motivation tool you can get!

Ok, maybe try to break the association of eating whilst watching tv. Maybe go out for an evening stroll or start a new hobby to change the current routine.
-
Forming habits is key. Willpower only lasts so long. Don't try to change too many things at once.

I used to struggle badly with evening snacking. What worked for me was to up my protein intake. I find this makes me feel fuller for longer. I often have a protein shake around 8pm and it usually satisfies me until bedtime and only uses up around 100 cals. Carby snacks like crisps or sweets tend to make me want more and in…
