I haven't, but I have seen people running in Vibram Five Fingers shoes for that effect.

I LOVE Atkins! The worst diet for me was low fat, high carb, low calorie. I GAINED weight! :)

This website has low carb versions of EVERYTHING! I stay under 20 net grams of carbs per day. It takes some creativity, but it's doable! Good luck! http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/

I've been doing low carb since last September. I have some other health conditions that make things difficult, so I haven't done any exercising at all. I've still managed to lose 57 lbs. It does have to be a lifetime thing though, or you will gain it back. I had high cholesterol before I started, but that is perfect now.…

You look WAY less than 310! You must be super tall. You'll end up looking like a model, as you're gorgeous now! Great job!

Read the labels on any "Fat Free" or "Low Fat" products. If they've cut the fat, chances are they've replaced it with sugar. :)

Personally, I don't care about calories. I only monitor my carbs, but I keep them VERY LOW, and it works for me. I can lose even if I'm well over on calories. Usually my calories are low anyway though.

Only 8 months so far...

Pork Rinds, or Cheese Strings. :)

I've been doing a ketogenic low carb diet since September 2010, and I've lost a little over 50 lbs. I have one MFP friend who's lost 185 lbs doing the same. :)

It's sort of a response to Super-Size Me, and then some.

Fat Head was a great movie. I've been doing low carb since September, and am down almost 50 lbs. When I started, I had high cholesterol, and a fatty liver. Now my cholesterol is perfect, my liver is healthy, and I'm on my way to my goal weight - and all without exercise (as I have some other physical issues to contend with…

When I was a teenager, I had a ridiculously specific list of ideal attributes for my perfect mate. I wanted to meet a man who was at least 5 years older than me, taller than me, smart, funny, skinny, of half-asian ethnicity, with black hair and a goatee, and an Irish or English accent. I never expected to meet anyone who…

I saw this on an Atkins post. I hope this helps! :) Veggies & dip (low carb salad dressing works) Bell pepper strips with blue cheese dressing Celery with cream cheese Celery with tuna Cucumbers with vinegar Devilled eggs Tuna devilled eggs Hard boiled eggs Egg salad (add veggies to up your veggie carbs) Muffin in a minute…

In the absence of glucose (from carbs), the liver converts fat to ketone bodies, and the brain uses ketone bodies as an energy source. As an epileptic, I cease to have seizures when I severely restrict carbs. My brain works BETTER without them. :)

I can gain up to 7 lbs during my time of the month, and it piles on quickly! It's obviously water weight, and it falls off just as quickly afterwards, but it can be scary and discouraging if you aren't expecting it. Perhaps this is something to consider?

Hi. You have to change the capitalized IMG to lowercase img both places in the photobucket link for the pictures to show. :) Congrats on your 42 lb weight loss!

I was stalled for a few weeks, dropped my two - three cans of Coke Zero, and WHOOSH! I dropped 4 lbs that weekend. I read that some people have a strong insulin response to diet sugars. I'm probably one of them. Good luck! :)

Hi! I've been doing Atkins since September 1, 2010, and I love it! Good luck at your new job! :)

 That is very funny!

Women can gain 5 - 7 pounds of water weight with their time of the month. I gain a bit every month, and lose it when the TOM passes. :)

Hi. I'm posting this article for you: http://www.menshealth.com/health/cure-diabetes I've been doing a low-carb diet since September, and have dropped 45 lbs since then. I wasn't diabetic, but there are plenty of people on the Atkins forum, and other low-carb sites that have been able to come off their diabetes meds…

Apparently, we can gain 3 to 7 lbs of water weight during our time of the month. I gain a bit, or at least stop losing when I'm in PMS. No worries! :)

These are my babies. I drew the stencils myself. I'm definitely getting a celebratory one when I hit my goal weight! :)

I'm 40 lbs down since September 1/10. I eat 1500 - 1800 calories/day, and haven't exercised at all (though I should have), but I'm on Atkins, so the weight takes care of itself. Good luck! :)

I've been doing low carb since September 2010. I'm sort of doing Atkins. I'm having about 20 net carbs/day give or take, and never more than 30. I'm staying in ketosis, both for weight loss, and for the benefits it has for my epilepsy. I do think a key to long term success will be not seeing this as a temporary fix, but as…

I always said I'd never get tattoos, until I saw shows like Miami Ink and realized that they could make a stencil out of one of my own drawings to tattoo! I now have 3. I made a point of asking if there were specific places I could get tattoos on my overweight body that would have minimal warping if I lost a lot of weight…

You can also get Zevia, a soda flavored with Stevia. It's available at a lot of health food stores and organic groceries. :)
-
Soda was my big problem too. I first switched from Coke to Coke Zero. Now I'm drinking Club Soda with Sugar Free DaVinci Syrups to flavor it. Switching from Dr. Pepper to Sprite probably won't make any significant difference in terms of weight loss if you don't switch to diet. Good luck!

You can get a soda sweetened with Stevia at some health food stores. It's called Zevia, and comes in the usual variety of flavors, so you don't have to have the caffeine. :)
