So far so good with me. I do enjoy some cardio so it's not like I completely disregard it, but weights are where it's at. It's more fun, it's more measureable for progress (for me anyway), and it makes you firm vs flabby. Who doesn't want that :)

Hmmm the hot food thing is definitely an issue! I don't have kids but I know when I was little and I wanted a hot lunch I often (errr... .my dad did) put soup in a thermos. If it's boiling hot in the morning it's a pretty decent temperature by lunch time. Sandwiches are out? How about.... Spaghetti w/ sauce/meatballs/etc…

Not to be negative, but in medical records... you're either never, current, or former... it's always going to part of your medical history! But on a personal level... whenever you think you're clean of it. Thinking negatively (like your doctor!) might = relapse! Be proud of quitting :)

English Muffins?!!?! I'm (almost) equally disturbed by things that are sweetened (by anything) for no reason. Like spaghetti sauce - I like it just fine when I make it without sugar, so why are you adding all this corn syrup? The food industry is scary.

I haven't done any of them so I'm not super-qualified to answer this... BUT... I don't think ChaLEAN or Turbofire are really considered strength. They're still pretty much cardio. Go for NROLFW! I hear awesome things about it!!

I have some pretty miserable allergies too. But for some reason, they seem to dissipate (temporarily) while I'm working out - I guess my body is smart enough to prioritize breathing over being unnecessarily swollen and allergic! It's weird.
