  • Great job, Pam!
  • I did my weight routine last night after eating 3 of my homemade energy bars! Ugh!!! I had planned on eating a little bit of leftover chicken breast, but the power was out when I got home from work. I still managed my calorie goal but definitely exceeded my carb macro goal for the day. Going to do my run this evening,…
  • Good morning friends! I'm so proud of myself! I really felt pretty awful yesterday. I stayed up late on Friday and Saturday night, then Sunday night I didn't sleep. I did not want to wake up when my alarm went off at 4:30 am yesterday morning. Then I found out it was my TOM! Wonderful Monday morning, I can tell you!…
  • Pam, Thanks for the pics! I can dream that I'm there instead of here in humid, hot, flat Louisiana!!! Emy
  • I'm finally back home today! Had a great weekend with my family and stayed on track pretty well (drank more than a few beers with my sister but don't think I did too much damage!). I'm planning to do W7D3 of C25K this evening. Started off the morning with a big bang - TOM snuck up on me. Hopefully won't hurt my run too…
  • I'm down 3 1/2 pounds this week, so very happy! Congrats to everyone on the losses this week. Brenda, so happy for you in meeting your goal weight!!! I'm sure it is a great feeling!
  • I finished w7d1 last night. It was my first time running with music and I went back and forth the entire time as to whether it helped or hurt me. I was noticeably more sore afterward. Felt like I had really worked out. I'm going to attempt w7d2 this weekend but will be in an area that is much hillier than I'm used to.…
  • Cindy, have fun and get in plenty of relaxation!
  • I have a new NSV for this week! This morning my husband told me that since I started this diet/exercise program, I'm no longer snoring! I told him that was great, and maybe that would help him sleep better (he suffers from insomnia a good bit of the time). He said not really, because now the fact that I'm not snoring is…

  • Lisa, glad you may have an easier day today due to the weather. You are doing great even if it doesn't always seem that way. Just think back to a week or two ago when you met a major milestone with your weight loss. I think we tend to judge our progress in the short term. We feel great one day and when things get tough the…
  • Don't give up if this is something you really want to do! I also had dreams about running (and not those where I'm running from something scary, but running and enjoying it!). I think you could slow down even more. I've made it to week 7 and I go very slowly - 17/18 minutes per mile. I read where someone said they were…
  • Maureen, you and Lisa are so inspiring to me with your running, and I would take inches over pounds any day!

  • I know right! He tried to backpedal after he realized he had offended me, but how do you back pedal from that?!? He has been a sweetheart though and hasn't said "I told you so" about the calorie counting yet. He lost a lot of weight by counting calories a year or two ago, and he tried to convince me to do the same. My…
  • Maureen, Your husband did amazing! I can't even imagine! Great job on the 12K. I've been reading more and more about incorporating planned rest breaks into our exercise schedules. It certainly seemed to work for you! Emy
  • Hi, I did W5D3 last week and I was very nervous as well. I slowed my pace a good bit from the previous weeks just because I was unsure how I would feel and if I could make it through the 20 minutes. I know it seems like a big jump, but you can do it!
  • I completed W6D3 last night. I think this may have been my toughest one yet, both mentally and physically, but I did it! I've come a long way since the first day, and I'm so happy I've stuck with this. I'm also extremely grateful for all of the people on here who have posted about their C25K experiences.
  • Congratulations! It's a great feeling, isn't it?
  • Siannah, those pants look comfy and I bet you will pull off wearing them with style! Here's a definition/description of boudin ball from Wikipedia: Boudin ball: A Cajun variation on boudin blanc. Instead of the fillings being stuffed into pork casings, it is rolled into a ball, battered, and deep fried.[2] Boudin blanc: A…
  • Lisa, have fun on your trip! I'm so sorry your son woke up sick. Allergies are terrible!!! Here's hoping he recovers quickly. Siannah, I'm sorry you are not feeling well. Only good thing is the TOM doesn't last the whole month. It will pass soon and you will be back to your happy self. Brenda, no high heels for me! I was…
  • Anybody want to take a guess as to how many calories are in one cream cheese and jalapeño stuffed boudin ball from Krotz Springs Louisiana? Here is a link with a picture if you are curious what they look like: http://boudinlink.com/cream-cheese-and-jalapeno-stuffed-boudin-ball-from-kartchners-in-krotz-spring-a/. They are a…
  • Thanks Cindy! I didn't put the date. Just rereading my post it sounds like the run is this weekend, but it's August 9. Still have some weeks to stay on track before my planned cheat!
  • I finished W6D2 on Saturday, and I'm doing w6D3 this evening. I knew I had the 22 minutes of jogging to look forward to tonight, but until your post I didn't realize there were no more walking intervals! Wow, now w6d2 feels like a real milestone. Best of luck on completing the program. We are almost there!
  • Did my weight routine last night and I'm going to do w6d3 of c25k this evening. It's definitely July in Louisiana! I was sweating on my walk into work this morning at 5:20 a.m. Hope it isn't too bad this evening. Cindy, I'm so glad you are looking forward to c25k. I don't remember exactly when I started really enjoying but…
  • Thanks! I will check it out!
  • I met most of my goals for June: 1. I lost just over 9 pounds for the month 2. Still doing C25K - I made it through week 5 and I'm will be doing w6d3 tomorrow 3. Still doing my weight routine, and I did it 3 times per week except for last week (did 2 times) 4. Did not complete the June Ab challenge - way to tough for me!!!…

  • Wow! I've been MIA this weekend, and it is fun catching up with all of you! Everyone has been so busy! Congrats, Brenda on finishing JMBR! C25K probably feels easy after that! Lisa, I'm so sorry about the soreness. I hope you feel better soon. The time off from weights on your trip might be helpful. I've been doing a…
  • My July goals: 1. Log daily 2. Lose 5 pounds 3. Complete C25K and continue running 4. Continue my muscle primer workout 3 times per week

  • Finished w6d2 last night. Going to do w6d3 on Tuesday. Nervous about 22 minutes straight but I think I'm ready!
  • Today I'm going to get my weight routine in and get my hair done. Been putting it off because I hate actually getting it done but feel great afterwards. My grays are definitely shining through and we have my grandmother's birthday party tomorrow. My dear sweet uncles will give me hell if they see the gray! I did w6d1 of…
  • Congrats, Siannah and Maureen! Cindy, our efforts don't always show up on the scale right away. Next week will be better! I feel great about this week for myself. Something happened this week and weight loss speeded up a little. LW: 197.4 CW: 194.2 I'm getting close to my three month goal of losing 15 lbs.
