Hope everyone else did well! Congrats to everyone who lost last week and hoping those who didn't have some losses to report…

Lisa, the 6 lbs has to be water weight. No way you gained that much in just a few days. Has to be just different routine, etc. has thrown your body off. Keep your chin up! You will get back on track! If you weren't in this for the long haul, you would not have posted this morning. I've tried so many times before and given…

Pam, so glad to hear from you! Great job on the 4 lbs and I'm happy for you that you are able to run again. Maureen, it is tough to fit everything in while working! Although somewhere there is that sweet spot where I find I'm more productive while busy. It's been so long since I found it though! I did weights last night…

Another great read by the same author: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sophia-herbst/1200-calories_b_4816597.html These two articles really put things into perspective for women, at least in my opinion!

Found a great article today that I wanted to share: http://www.tonygentilcore.com/blog/an-open-letter-to-everyone-who-has-told-women-dont-get-too-muscular/ Emy

Good morning! I did the first set of intervals last night from R4FL. Wow! They were killer, but I really improved my overall time. I think I'm going to really like this program! Maureen, great job on prepping meals! The new shoes are like running on clouds, but I have a blister on the back of my heel. I'm thinking I should…

Wow! You look amazing! I'm the same height, maybe half an inch shorter and my highest weight was 207. I'm now down to 179. I started counting calories and exercising on May 19th of this year. My goal is 142-145, but 155 would make me happy as well! Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to keep going!

I've been feeling more like myself the last week or two so today I tried on a pair of jeans I wore last May when we took my mom to MD Anderson for cancer treatment. They fit!!! I didn't use to weigh myself back then so had no idea how much weight I had actually gained. It looks like I gained about 25 pounds since I quit…

I lost 2 pounds this week, from 182.4 to 180.4. I'm hoping to get below 180 for next week. I keep waiting for a gain due to my indulgences in New Orleans last weekend, but so far nothing! Maybe the dancing paid off! LOL!

Good Friday morning! I slept in a little this morning and it felt great! I did workout 3 from R4FL last night and it felt good. I'm so happy to be running! Today I will do weights. Lisa, I do hope the squats help with the knee issue. Problem is, I haven't had a knee issue before. I'm going to watch more videos on form this…

Cindy, I forgot to respond to your question to the group about mapmywalk. I did try it, but removed it almost immediately. I can't remember why I wasn't crazy about it though. I do think my sister uses it and likes it. I've been using the Nike+Running app, and I read good reviews about the one Lisa uses. I can't remember…

Good morning everyone! Marielle, here's hoping you are having a great time and that you come back to the group soon! I miss seeing your posts first thing in the morning! Lisa, you should definitely think about doing the red dress run. It's a blast! You do have to have a lot of endurance though! Not for running, but for…

Good morning! Cindy, the zucchini pizza sounds wonderful! Reminds me that I need to ask my friend for her cauliflower pizza crust recipe as well. She just made it back into town Sunday, and I've only talked to her once since then. Glad you got your run in! Lisa, let me know if you try the running for fat loss. I haven't…

Maureen, I'm sad to see summer come to an end! My daughter went back to school yesterday. Great job on running again after being sore! I'm planning to run this evening. Started a new program this week called Running for Fat Loss by Runkeeper. Not sure if I will like it or now. We will see! Hope everyone has a great day! Emy

Good morning all! Well, I survived the Red Dress Run although there were a couple of times I wasn't sure I would make it. It's hard partying all day from sun up to sun down! I don't remember it being so exhausting 20 years ago!!! Brenda, you will get that 28 minutes! You are flying through the program and doing so great!…

I had a good week! I've lost 2.4 pounds. I added in fasted walking in the mornings about 4 days per week two weeks ago, and it seems to be helping. I hope I don't gain too much weight this weekend at the Red Dress Run!!! I will be indulging a bit! Emy

Good morning everyone! I've not found much time for posting this week. Going to try to do better! My son got back to town last night from his trip to Wales and England. My youngest comes home from her two week trip to Wyoming on Friday, so I will soon have all of my chickies in one place again! So glad, as I have been…

Just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello! I moved offices and added responsibilities at work so I haven't had time to post this morning. Hope everyone is doing great! I ran a 5k yesterday for my run (on my own not a race) ! Pretty excited. I finished it in just over 45 minutes which is better than I was expecting. Did…

Maybe I've been living under a rock, but I have somehow missed out on the "salad in a jar" concept. I was browsing the main forums and saw someone mention salad in a jar, so I googled it. I had just told someone that I wanted to incorporate more salads in my daily eating but I was having trouble doing so. This idea might…
