I got something similar from my mother-in-law. She was terribly upset not to be able to feed me cake and biscuits and .. and. ... and ... She stopped saying anything when I told her straight up that I was not eating "CRAP" anymore. You have to be cruel to be kind.

Never had an issue with mine. I wash in the shower with water after each use. A couple of times I got soap on it, bit made sure I washed that off fully. I dry it with a towel and (when home) place on top of my computer (the exhaust air dries it completely :) I also wet the contacts (normally lick my finger :o) before use.

Should have read your bio first ;) If you are trying to loose pounds then more cardio, less eating. If you are trying to build then you need to do the right exercises for the parts you are trying to build and eat more and cardio less. Too much cardio will simply eat away any muscle gains you get from squats etc.

I tend to find if I keep working out during a cold I get over it quicker (going against every bit of advice not to). Found it fairly accurate with calories. If you are still trying to loose weight while weights training try to com in just under you net calories (calories + exercise calories - food = green number). The only thing I would recommend is eat more protein foods and less carbohydrates.
