I'm aiming to lose weight and am going for around 1750 per day - and will see how that goes! I'm not doing loads of exercise yet - easing back in gently after having my first baby 6 months ago, but the goal is to start heavy lifting once I've shed some fat and got stronger from my bodyweight exercises. I always used to…

My husband is 6' and weighs 148lbs - he eats lots too! I eat my own thing for breakfast and lunch, and we eat the same evening meal - but I will have a smaller portion than him. It's not so hard! He does lose weight if we have too many lower calorie dinners though so I try to make sure he eats a cake a day :-)

Wow - OP you are very easily offended! Yep, your measurements would indeed make you about a UK size 10, which at 5' 8" is a really nice size to be. I would agree with what everyone else has said, concentrate on toning up rather than just getting lighter. If you are worried about how you feel - which I think from the tone…

Nice tip, thanks!

never tried cottage cheese and honey but that sounds great. Yep - need to buy some nuts as well when I get my next food shop :-)

I also don't buy that you can be particularly 'sensitive' to carbs! I love greek yoghurt and cottage cheese! And both of those also come in low fat varieties so everyone's a winner :-) I eat beans/pulses too a fair bit. The macro calculator thing is saying I should eat 45.3 carbs 198 protein 89.1 fat 40 - 50 fibre. That…

Good point - I suppose that's where to start. I've been doing the odd bit of this and that but I think I need to get myself a decent routine down :-)

WOW - you all look amazing! I have struggled with my weight for ages, but after having my first baby I'm really in the right frame of mind to start being strong and healthy and doing it RIGHT. If anyone could help me with how to even start lifting I would be eternally grateful! I wouldn't know where to begin - I don't…

Thanks :-) I was hoping it was more about averaging out over the week. I am pretty much always over 1200 so I'l stick with it then I reckon. I've got 34lbs to go.

I'm not following anything specific but just trying to cut calories and eat healthily most of the time. I'm not sure what calorie cycling is! I have ended up going way over my calories on the weekends mainly from alcohol and a few treats! My weight loss history - I did VLCDs a few times - Cambridge Diet type things, and…
