  • I make muffin tin omelets on Sunday and eat them cold or warmed up throughout the week. The veggie ones take about half an egg each and come to around 50 calories, so I usually have two and sometimes a piece of fruit, keeping breakfast under 200 calories. I also love to eat at night!
  • I have learned that a lot of the snack foods I would eat mindlessly, are just not worth it. I have been doing 1-2 cheat meals a week, typically on the weekend...this has helped prevent binges.
  • I have had the same experience. I splurged a little this weekend and on Monday, the scale was looking good! But on Tuesday....there it was! Will probably weigh in tomorrow morning and see if there was truly any damage.
  • Dont give up!!!!!!!!!!! 1) Make sure you are logging your calories correctly. I just started as well and had to invest in a scale (8$ on Amazon!) to weigh my food. My guesses were way off! 2) Also make sure your are logging the correct number of calories burned from exercise. When I use MFP's numbers, I am conservative as…
  • I have been having the same problem. Currently, I am enjoying a couple oreos and milk :) I plan to buy some healthier cereal so I can have that instead of junk food.
  • In the past year and a half I had gained 15lbs. It bothered me a little but not much. Then in the course of about a month I had gained another 5lbs, which made me realize my eating habits were only getting worse. I have been overweight since I was a teenager and I had always said that once I get close to 200lbs, I would…
  • I live in the Bay Area and do most of my shopping at a grocery store and farmers markets. I do not find eating healthy to be expensive. I always buy what is on sale and in season. The meat (beef, chicken, lamb) at the farmers markets is SUPER awesome but expensive, so I buy most of my meat at the grocery store. I buy most…
  • I commute to work on a train and then walk a couple miles each day, so the less I can carry the better. I can typically fit my lunch in my purse. When I can't, I use one of these bags: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FSBE2PK/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 AWESOME market tote bags, also great when buying cold…
  • Face Everything And Rise LOVE IT
  • I am struggling with the weekends! I use to eat dinners out on Friday and Saturday nights. I love these meals and try to make good choices, but it is very difficult to count the calories (they are not chains with nutritional stuff posted online). My goal is to continue going out for 1 meal a week and that can be my cheat…
  • It takes lots of planning. I have just started to lose weight again and I have spent the last couple of weeks really trying to plan out my meals, snacks, and how to manage this with a busy schedule. I promise that it ends up being really easy to do and I can tell my body is so much happier this way. I eat oatmeal most…
  • Hehehe! During most weeknights I do exercises while watching TV. I can be such a couch potato, so to feel less guilty about my love for tv I exercise to many episodes of American Idol, Modern Family, and even to the Food Network. Lots of core, arms, legs, stretching, and some cardio.
  • I have just started and am still deciding how I want to deal with my logging. As of now, I log everything. I feel that when I go over and log, it helps minimize how big that red number gets. Probably in a couple more weeks, when I am move in the groove of this, I will switch to only strictly logging 5-6 days a week. I eat…
  • I have been doing this for a week now and I am quite pleased with how much I have learned about this process and myself in this week! The best part of MFP for me is the fact that I do not feel like I am on a diet. I have started with calorie counting and still in this phase. I have this awful snacking habit and I love…
