my go to is nonfat Greek yogurt, granola, berries. It ranges from 180-260 calories and keeps me satisfied for a while. Oatmeal is also good with fruit. Veggie omelettes can be really filling too.

At night I try to drink tea. A cup or two usually suppresses my desire to hardcore snack. I still allow a snack most nights. I suggest adding 1-2 middays snacks so you aren't super hungry when you get home. I typically have some fruit, veggies or popcorn.

Nonfat yogurt, berries, air popped popcorn, cottage cheese, fish. I just made a spicy vinegar based coleslaw and I can have quite a bit for 100 cals. Yummmmm

I try to get more walking in during my day. Due to a long commute, I am out of the house 10-11 hours a day making me not want to workout. I walk to the train in the morning, walk from train to work and then get 2 walks in during the day while at work. They are each 10-20 min. Then I walk to train to go home. While this…

The scale is helpful for me, but if your losing I wouldnt stress too much. I got my scale on Amazon for $14 I think...worth it for me.

Yikes, that is rough! I would try to make your snacks as meal like as possible. Try some fruit, cheese, crackers, boiled egg, and nuts. Cliff bars or something like those are also very helpful.

My one go to for a filling breakfast is 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup granola (types vary) and a handful of berries on top. I sometimes do this as a snack if I have a light lunch.

I just add Lipton onion dip seasoning to my yogurt. I just sprinkle enough in to give it flavor. It typically adds 10 calories to the yogurt. I eat this with a 1/4 cup of yogurt and lots of veggies in the afternoons. So easy and yummy.

Love this post! I suggest chicken, fish, and ground turkey each week. I then add in maybe turkey sausage or steak every once in a while. Lots of fresh veggies and grains. Also lots of interesting seasonings such as lemon pepper or Italian seasoning. Also fresh garlic can be used in lots of meals. I love to cook but some…

My partner and I have also been trying to tighten up our budget on groceries. We have been spending $75-$100 per week for both of our groceries. This includes some household items (probably 50%) like toilet paper, cleaners, and the cats stuff. I buy only produce that is in season and have been watching the amount we spend…

My typical afternoon snacks: -Sliced Apples -Carrots -Pineapple -Strawberries 1 Oz Cheese, sometimes with a few slices of turkey -Hard Boiled Egg -Yogurt Lately I have been buying the Graze boxes. For $6 they send you four snacks that are perfectly portioned, they have options that are low in calories. I also like the…

I have a fitbit zip that clips onto my waistband/pocket. It was $50 on Amazon and has been working great for the past month. I don't need to charge it. I suppose I will eventually need to replace the battery, which is much like a watch battery. It syncs well with MFP. I do a lot of walking everyday and this is my primary…

I know how you feel. When I feel that way, I tell myself, things only get better from here. Just keep progressing! I also try to stay kind to myself. It helps keep me positive and when you're positive, a radiant light shines from you and people notice! You have a lot to be proud of and you are a great inspiration.

Oh dear! If it makes you feel better put on some light makeup and light perfume, even do your hair! Wear something comfortable. Got a nice pair of sneakers? They always make me feel a little cuter when working out. Don't focus on the PT thinking your overweight, focus on getting the best out of your $ and toning those…

I have a fitbit zip and got it for $50 off of Amazon. It clips onto your clothing, I wear it on my waist. It tracks your steps and links with MFP nicely. So far I have found the burn for my daily activity to be accurate, as I have been eating back 50-75% of those calories and am losing.

I love snacking, especially at night. Due to this, I tend to eat smaller meals throughout the day to allow for more calories to go towards snacks. I would suggest that maybe you pre-log a couple hundred calories for snacks at night. I also only keep 1-2 snack foods in the house (usually popcorn and 100 calorie pack of…

I am similar to you. I love snacking, especially at night! I would suggest pre-logging snack cals. for night in the morning. I have a similar calorie goal as you and I tend to keep my meals pretty low in calories (350-500) to leave enough cals for snacks.

Im in the exact same boat! I am interested in getting a fitbit, but cannot really afford it quite yet and want to see if a pedometer is helpful with my lifestyle. I will be curious to see if anyone has good recommendations.

Stay away from the cookie butter! It is so tasty and bad! I buy certain things at TJ's due to great costs. I often buy cheeses there (great variety!), yogurt, eggs, and milk. I buy the in season produce and flowers. I also buy some of their frozen foods. I especially like their frozen spinach lasagna. They are great for…

I have always been a little overweight, never really minded it, but always vowed to myself that I would never hit 200lbs. Throughout college, I gained around 15lbs, it didn't bother me too much. In the year and a half following college I gained another 15lbs and 5 of those were gained in 1.5 months. This puts me at 194.…

In my first month I lost 5lbs. Now I'm about halfway through month 2 and I have only lost 2lb

Log everything. I see it as if I am constantly going over by 100 cals/day it adds up. Sometimes I am not as accurate with weighing fruits and veggies (I get lazy...) but definitely log.
-
I pop 1/4 cup kernels in an air popper and use pam spray butter (about 3 seconds) to give it some butter taste. A little salt, garlic power, sometimes basil, sometimes hot sauce, sometimes cayenne. I love snacking so I eat popcorn at least 3 times a week and keep the calories under 175 usually.

To me that depends on how I am feeling about the scale. Some weeks I weigh myself 1-3 times a day. Other weeks I only weigh myself 2-3 times a week. At no point have I ever felt obsessed or disturbed by the numbers. That's not to say I don't feel excited or bummed about them. I suppose the emotions associated between me…

1) Clothes are starting to fit looser 2) When I walk a few miles, my legs and feet are much less achy 3) I don't crave junk food nearly as much and I'm starting to crave healthier things

About 1-2 times a week. Sometimes it is due to a cheat day. Mostly it is because I get lazy with logging, these usually stay within 300 calories of my goal. I don't focus too much on those sort of days..just keep on going and stay to my plan and goals.

THIS! I live in a fun city that has a lot of great happy hours with delicious cocktails...even if I do go to a weekly happy hour I have only splurged on a fancier drink once.
-
I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you want to jump start the last bit of weight loss, buying a scale may be worth it. I have just started my journey and have not been weighing everything(I have been using cup measurements), but after this past week, I am going to start weighing more! Initially it helped me most with…

Oh dear! I love the Fiber One brownies! I make sure I only have 1 per day and try to make it only a few times a week, not everyday.

I just ordered my first Graze box. They are $6 and they are running a promo to try out your first box for $1. While I haven't tried the actual snacks yet I have heard good things. After you sign up you can go through all the snacks and pick out which ones to try, which ones to trash (you don't like them), which ones you…
