Orange County for me, and I have about 130 more to lose, so I will be here for a while! Feel free to add

Whenever I think I might want something someone else has brought in, I look up the calories, and determine if its worth whatever else I had planned that I will need to not eat.
-
That's what fitbit is showing. And this is what MFP says
-
I haven't edited anything and it did it to me. It is showing that my lunch was over 7000 calories. I dont use kj on MFP so its not a conversion problem for me...

I tried phentermine a few years back in conjunction with a restricted diet. I cannot say for certain that the phentermine was what caused weight loss over the diet. It is an appetite suppressant so it helps you maintain a restricted diet, there were times when I would take it at 11am and not be hungry until 7-8pm at night.…

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/diet stop applying only one definition to the word diet. "Diet" 1. food and drink regularly provided or consumed 2. habitual nourishment 3. the kind and amount of food prescribed for a person or animal for a special reason 4. a regimen of eating and drinking sparingly so as to…

this is the only useful thing said by this poster, IMHO. A nutritionist might be able to look at your log and answer some questions about how to eat properly...

I am only 40lbs down (still about 125ish to go) but here are some things I have noticed that were unexpected: -Fat comes off where it will, and it does not always care if you are symmetrical. One side of my rib cage is bigger than the other :s -The way people greet you will change. It went from "Hi, how are you?" and "Hey,…

Mine has never changed on its own. I have to re-run the guided set up every time i drop ~10 lbs to get it lower.
-
I try to keep my loss at approximately 1% per week. Its hit/miss if I actually get that, but thats my goal. and it pretty much averages out to that in the long run.
-
Is there a reason for the deadline? Also: without your stats, there is no way to know if a 9lb/month loss is appropriate for you. If you are obese then possibly. But by obese I mean more than 100lbs to lose. If you are only 18lb from your goal weight then that rate of loss is not realistic.
-
So on top of the deficit that MFP gives you, you are also eating an ADDITIONAL -500 cals? So assuming you were already at -1000 cals (a 2lb/wk loss) you are eating -1500? That is not healthy.

As someone that works in media, yes there was most likely a cash payout given to the father/son in return for their story. So the guy got paid to badmouth a hospital that kicked him out (rightfully IMO) for violating the terms of his agreement. To the people that think we should continue to fund this man's (NOT BOY/KID)…

I love the feature that my cell phone company has. When you go to the help section, you type in your question, and it automatically gives you a list of posts that it thinks are similar. If you still don't find your answer then you can select to make a new post. It could help lead people to answers that have already been…

I remember when the US was officially going to switch to metric. I think I was in middle school... They had us do all this extra work to teach us the new system. It was like a drop dead day - "On this day at this time we will switch all things!" - Yeah, that just plain didn't ever happen.

I was too stubborn to throw away my clothes from before I gained the weight so lucky me I won't have to do too much shopping along the way (well until I get to the clothes I was wearing in college... I don't have many professional options in that size). I have enough clothes to get me from here to about another 70lbs lost.…

If you cant use a scale, you could try taking measurements to keep track of your progress. Also, I would err on the side of overestimating when picking portions and entries.

Does slapping Mosquitoes count as exercise? Or swatting flies?
-
This is why you should take the total numbers for a few weeks and get a daily average.
-
No If these are your numbers then your equation should be: 3833 - 1000 = 2833 You should have consumed 2833 to have a 1000 deficit. If you truly only ate 1000 cals that day, then your deficit was 2833 and you are severely under-eating.
