  • This is the blog that helped me understand it the most. It is written by a woman so I think she gets how the diet affects women a little better. http://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2014/01/3-day-keto-kickstart-menu-plan.html Good luck!
  • 93.2 lbs until I see 199... If weight loss happened in nice pretty predictable intervals, then I would say I will be there by June 2016. Since I know it doesn't work that way, I am just hoping that by Christmas 2016, I am out of the 200s :)
  • Nutritional Information on Pre-packaged foods have a margin of error up to 20%. That 500 calorie pre-packaged food you just scanned, could really be 600 calories. Just saying...
  • Congrats on hitting your goal for the month!!!
  • My brother-in-law used to work for them. Still says their products are top-notch even though he is no longer with their company.
  • I have starting bringing my own lunch and snacks to work with me, and I have noticed that I think I am hungry/want to eat it because I know it is there. So I watch the clock and if it isnt at least 2.5 hours since my last meal or snack then I get up and walk the length of the building and back. Sometimes I will drink a…
  • I made Parmesan Crisps from the fatsecret.com recipes. They are delicious, and satisfied that craving :)

  • Stop thinking of it as a competition between you and her. Start thinking of it as competing with your old self. Think of how much more accomplished you will feel when you finally hit your goal, knowing how much hard work went into improving your health etc.
  • sounds good to me :)
  • I plan on getting rid of mine when they do not fit anymore. This way I can use it as motivation to keep the weight off. No money for new clothes means I cannot gain weight cause I wont have anything to wear :)
  • you can log however many meals you want and so long as you are at or above 1200 net (1500 net for men) for the day it will post it. You can also change the names/number of meals in your diary settings.
  • Mine only does this if I forgot to log something and my net is below 1200...
  • Hey everyone  I am 30 y/o from So. Cali. I started trying to lose ~190lb a while ago (almost 2 years!) but kept giving up. I am currently down 33lb from my original start weight (16lb down from most recent start) and doing what I can to make sure I stay on track and stop gaining the same 10-15 over and over again. I…
  • ^--- This My play time with my son is becoming exercise time. I go for a walk/jog, and he follows next to me on his bike, or on his feet sometimes, and we talk about whatever he wants. He has even started pushing me to go faster. He will tell me I need to jog to a certain point before I can walk etc. Your kids want you to…
  • I weigh everyday and log it to Fitbit for TrendWeight. Fitbit sends it to MFP I think...
  • My DH had a pot luck cookout at work today and asked me to make a dessert. I was very hesitant despite my love for baking because I knew that I would want to taste and snack as I went... Well, I made Fudge Brownies, Peanut Butter Bars and S'mores Bars... and didn't snack or taste at all! Even when I was tempted to taste…
  • I agree with Knit... Make sure it has a timer and can auto switch to warm. Also, if they have them in the UK you should get the slow cooker liners. They are disposable and fit into the bowl. you just lift and throw away once you are done. then its easy to wipe down the crock pot after use. Reynolds makes them.
  • Here is the recipe I found. 2 chicken breasts 1 bunch of fresh cilantro, chopped 1 red onion, chopped I was going to cut this in half 1 can of black beans, drained & rinsed I was going to cut these out 2 cups of frozen corn 2 tsp minced garlic 1 tsp cumin Juice squeezed from 2 Limes tortillas (for serving) making my own…
  • Thanks everyone for the tips. I loved the fatsecret.com lists. I am surprised they did not come up in my search before!
  • Its for a recipe I found for Cilantro Lime Chicken. It has Black Beans (which I am leaving out) and Corn. I was hoping to be able to substitute either the Corn or the Black Beans. It isnt so much for taste, but for variety of flavor and texture in the meal.
  • Thank you guys for sharing this. I have had mine in almost 5 years, and have scheduled an appointment to have it removed at the end of this month. I have experienced the hair loss (large chunks of hair every time I brush, wash, or even just touch it) and breakouts on my jawline like others have had. My GP also said that it…
  • sounds to me like you need to have a talk with your husband. it is his mother and he should not be leaving you to have these discussions with her...
  • I think that saying it is disrespectful to buy yourself something for yourself without asking your parents is inaccurate. I lived with my parents after college, and while I respected my mom's general wish that I be considerate and tell them when I was going out and when I would be back, neither I nor my mother found it…
  • First - is there a reason you cannot get a scale for yourself and they can use it or not if they wish? Second - I weigh daily because in the past, when I would only weigh once a week or every other week, I would get frustrated when I didn't see the change I expected. By weighing daily, it is a daily reminder that my weight…
  • I am not where you all are yet, just ~13 lbs lost, but I already know how my family will react when I tell them how much I want to lose. My dad (who I love dearly) is the worst about this kind of thing. He is always telling me I need to take better care of myself and start losing weight, then we go out to dinner and he…
  • The things that I cannot wait to say goodbye to when I lose weight: 1. Having to ask for the extension for the seat belt on airplanes, and hoping for a window seat so I dont have the arm rest on both sides. 2. Having to sit in Ballpark/Stadium seats sideways because they are too narrow 3. Having my clothes take up double…
