I usually talk about how I eat or what I eat instead of weight. Cuz I've been in your situation before. I have a friend who is at LEAST 400 pounds, and when I told her I had about 100 to lose, she was aghast and said her goal was to lose 50. I soooooooo wanted to say, "really? that's it?" but refrained.

absolutely!!! As much as we'd all love to lost 10 pounds per month, that is just not ideal. I think 1 pound/week is wonderful. I've resigned to that for myself and I must admit it seems more doable than 2 pounds/week. And I don't get as frustrated!

Can your kids walk to school? We live about .25 miles from our school and my 8 year old daughter walks to and from by herself. If you live in an area where you're worried about safety, why don't you walk with him/her/them? Just an idea :)

I no longer have a boobie-do (meaning that no longer does my stomach stick out farther than my boobies do) :)

Don't get down on yourselves...too many of us are falling in that trap of putting the word "only" in front of how much we lost.....remember this: we're "only" trying to be healthier .... and we're "only" doing our best. And to those who didn't lose and to those who gained.... we're "only" human! :)

Try to increase your water intake. I find that the more water I drink, the less frequent headaches are. Also, it is possible that too much caffeine or sugar can do the same thing Good luck to you!

For me it was my daughter coming home from school after the Valentine's Day celebration saying that she didn't want me to come volunteer in her school anymore. She said she felt bad for me because all her friends were staring at me and one of them said I was fat. That spurred a discussion of how it's the inside of people…

if ONLY....

You totally got me at first. Well played!

breast reduction surgery. i have a feeling I'll still need it when I lose all the weight!

Simply said, look at what you have left in calories/fat/carbs/protein. Go to pantry or refrigerator. Look at labels. Do math. Consume.
-
Hi there. I'm not really sure I understand your question..??
-
Yes. You need to eat. Listen to your body. Watch the balance of calories/carbs/fat/protein that MFP gives you. Believe me, it works!
-
There are sooo many good exercise choices out there. Listen to your body. If an injury gets aggravated, don't do that exercise! Kind of like that old joke: Patient: "Doc, it hurts when I move my arm in a circle. What can I do to make it stop hurting?" Doctor: "Don't move it in a circle."
-
yes....less processed food. Load up on veggies and fruit. Take some vitamins :)
-
boost that protein! high protein bread, cottage cheese, peanut butter (or smart nuts), high protein granola bars, lean meats (roast a turkey breast every week)

Time Of the Month = TOM

1. being gone away from home 2. that F@#$-ing scale 3. not drinking water (I tend to get hungry more often when I don't drink enough water)

LMAO

Grrrr when people say they can't eat all of their calories...NOT the extra from exercising (don't get me started on THAT endless debate on the forums), but say they can't eat what they're given...even if it's 1,200. Please.
