I also don't have a pull up bar or bands. I don't have anywhere to even consider a pull up bar or nowhere to hang bands. I just use heavier hand weights when they use the bar. I know it is not the same but I figure it is better than nothing and it still kicks my butt.

I have just started P90x myself..on day 3 today. Just finished my workout. am doing the Classic version. I did the lean version a couple years ago but did not finish it..
