I was diagnosed this year with a rare form of MG called Lambert Eaton Myasthenic syndrome. I can definitely relate. If you are still active here I would love to share tips and tricks with you.

Sleeved 2 1/2 years ago. No regrets....I love the restriction but have definitely learned how to "graze" to eat more. Just need to work on being more disciplined. I still have no physical hunger after 2 years:)

33 and loving it! Even with being 32 lbs above goal, I wouldn't go back to my 20s.

While that is your opinion, please try to be open minded. I personally had VSG and it SAVED MY LIFE! There are numerous medical reasons why someone would make the decision to have surgical weight loss ie...metabolic syndrome, PCOS, etc I respect anyone's decision to get healthy, regardless of the method they chose. We are…

For those of us who suffer from PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome), low carb eating needs to be a way of life. It doesn't mean eliminate ALL carbs, just choose wisely and if you do eat them....pair them with an equal amount of protien.

Hi there! I had my VSG 12/21/2010. So roughly 11 months ago. I am down 90 pounds with very little effort. I feel better physically and emotionally. There are times when I struggle with old habits (soda) but thankfully my body makes it loud and clear that I have had enough. One of my biggest struggles is eating too little.…

Hi there. I had VSG as well. Since surgery I have never been physically hungry. This leads to me to a question...Are you on an acid reducer? If not, what you could be feeling is acid not hunger. Drinking hot water helps calm the tummy, and gives you a content feeling too. Hope this helps.

I too had the VSG. My surgery was 12/21/10 so I am a newbie. Mind if I ask what your starting weight was? Any helpful hints? I started at 252 and two weeks out I am at 226.

Surgery went well. It was little rough day 1 and 2 post op. Today is day 7, and I feel good. Just have to take it slow. I HAVE LOST 13 LBS in the first week, effortlessly. I love this! I just need to work on drinking more fluids and getting 60-80 grams protien daily.

Some good sites (besides education your doctor will give) are: 1) www.verticalsleevetalk.com 2) www.thinnertimes.com 3) www.obesityhelp.com I did tons of research before deciding to go through with surgery. Sure, you can lose weight on your own. But keeping it off is a different story. Most diets are fads and are not…

I am schedule for Laparascopic Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy on 12/21/20. Currently on day 2 of my protien diet. It sucks royally. The whole head hunger thing is kicking my butt! I just have to take it one day at a time. I know that in the grand scheme of things, this will be the best decision I have ever made.
