There is a local, family owned restaurant where we pick up dinner about once a week. DH and I went in and ate lunch there this afternoon and the owner was ringing me up and exclaimed, "You have lost so much weight!" I didn't even think she knew who I was, let alone that she'd notice my weight loss!

I am dealing with the same. I still have this lingering roll of lower abdominal fat that nobody else sees. I'm not gonna be satisfied until it's gone, but the whole family thinks I've lost enough and need to stop because of my face. I weigh 164 and everybody acts like I'm emaciated. I guess because I've always been chunky…

This time last year bought a pair of jeans at Old Navy that would barely come up over my hips. I decided to keep them for the motivation factor. As recently as December, I was wearing them comfortably. Started doing C25K six weeks ago and put those same jeans on yesterday. They were so huge that I'm now going to have to…

I'm in the gross workout clothes club, too. I've had to spend so much money replacing my daily wardrobe that workout clothes really aren't in the budget. I have two pairs of workout pants and four tops. I often wear the same workout clothes for days in a row. I will overeat when my willpower is gone and then come home and…

You are gorgeous! Congrats!!!

Congrats! Slow is best even though it feels frustrating at times. What got me through the first ten pounds was reminding myself how fast the previous year had flown by. I kept telling myself, "This time next year I'll be goal weight if I just keep going." After the ten pound mark, people start to notice and each pound lost…

I normally lurk around on here, but I just had to comment to say how inspiring this post was. I am still in the losing phase, but my method has been just like yours. Often, I receive the frustrating "diet" comments from people in my life. I calmly explain that I am not dieting. Diets aren't sustainable for life. I've got a…

Lol, last week I reached up and felt very prominent collar bones... then proceeded to play with them for a good thirty minutes while moving my neck around to accentuate them in the mirror.

I don't know if this one has already been put out there, but I'm going to add: Weight doesn't come off symmetrically. I always assumed that when I'd lose weight, it would all come off nice and neat, equally on both sides. That hasn't been the case.

I don't do "cheat days." I log everything I consume, no matter what day of the week it is. If I want something in particular that I know could possibly blow my day, I budget for it in the rest of my day's meals and/or exercise. I think I've gone over my calorie recommendation twice. I know me, and allowing myself to cheat…

This weekend got me with the sodium, again. Even still, I need to do a bit of re-evaluation. SW : 215 lbs CW : 205 lbs GW for the month : 200 lbs UGW : 150-160 Weigh in Dates: 5/03 Sat: 205 lbs 5/10 Sat: 204 lbs 5/17 Sat: 5/24 Sat: End of Month (5/31 Sat)

Some things shocked me, others not so much. I think the biggest shock has been the sodium in everything, as I really have to pay attention to that too and it's 1000000000000000% times harder than watching calories, IMO. Like, tonight, I made dinner and the unflavored, unseasoned green beans I used are 290 mg sodium for a…

I guess, for me, the baby steps worked. I started out back in February just sick of being over 200 pounds and wanting a change. So, I gave myself a challenge to eat Special K cereal for breakfast and Lean Cuisines for lunch with a usual dinner, not measuring portion sizes (also eating out on Friday and Saturday nights,…

Sorry, you'll have to excuse me, I'm late on checking in. I didn't see a place to edit my original post (I'm still fairly new on the boards)... so I'm making a new post and hoping that's what we're supposed to be doing, lol! Feeling a little discouraged because when I originally weighed in, the scale showed a one pound…

I have a bit of a different taste in female names than you, but I'll bite! You've listed some of what a lot of people in the baby naming community like to call, "tryndee" names. Hartlee may be okay, only because I haven't really heard it used before. Ashtyn is a no! So is Jayde. Trust me, my mother put a random "y" in my…

Never by choice, but until I was 17. Then, again, from 18-20 and rather large, regular dry spells now that I'm married.

Awesome job Chanti!!! Ultimately, I'd like to lose 60 pounds as an overall goal. Would love to be your friend, also!
