You look incredible! Amazing job!

I agree with everyone else that you should get off of the treadmill, at least a few times per week, and run outside to work on your endurance. If there is an area of your town that has running trails, go there. It's amazing how running around others can improve your average pace. If you want to get faster, try doing…

^^ This. That being said, we all feel jealous of people from time to time for one reason or another. The best way to get past it is to be thankful for your own gifts. You clearly are doing a great job on losing weight thus far and have the dedication to meet your goals. You're losing weight at a healthy pace. Focus on how…

There are lots of great recipes for cooking them in the crockpot overnight. http://www.food.com/recipe/steel-cut-oatmeal-for-the-crock-pot-101101 I have modified mine with pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices before and it was delicious. I have also used vanilla and blueberries with great success.

Nope. I eat all of those things, regularly. And I'm honestly not being snarky or contrary when I say that the only thing that halted or slowed my weight loss when I was losing was going over my calories. I have found that it was really difficult to exercise portion control when eating pasta and rice in particular. And I do…

I agree that in general, it costs more to eat healthy than to consume junk food. BUT Think of how much money you will save in healthcare costs down the road. Diseases related to obesity cost people hundreds and thousands of dollars in medical expenses. I think about my father and his prescription costs from his diabetes…

First, congrats! What a terrific side effect. Secondly, I wonder if it could be hormonal? I agree with everyone else that the confidence and overall feeling of good health improves one's sex life. But if losing weight can affect the hormones that control a woman's menstrual cycle, I'm sure it can also work on the ones that…

I don't know that I ever get offended. Sometimes I find things sickening but not really offensive. I'm just fascinated by people and all of the crazy things we do.

I hate my lower stomach and c-section scar but I love my big bubble butt!

^^ Yep.

I did a little research on this, just because I was interested... I had always heard that your metabolism slows with age. The Mayo Clinic's website states, "As you get older, your muscle mass decreases, which slows down the rate at which you burn calories." This confirms what another person said, namely that people tend to…

I actually get dizzy really easily and can't even read in the car. I'm probably just jealous I can't read while I run! I do sometimes listen to audiobooks, but it's not the same.

I vote no. This is just regular movement that occurs as part of your daily life. Even when I took a second job cocktail waitressing, I didn't count it as exercise or as a workout. (Who can count anything as exercise that's done in three inch heels?!)
-
Ha this is cute. I love #4. It used to bother me so much when someone would take up a treadmill who was reading while walking. If you can read during your workout, you just aren't working hard enough in my opinion! BUT my sneakers cost $130. I overpronate and run. I need them!

Ha that's very true. Actually, you might be used to the soreness and not notice it as much. It's completely normal. Stick with it. If you feel like you aren't working hard enough at the end of the lifting sets, consider increasing your weights by a bit. I went from using 5 and 10 lb weights in my first cycle to 15 and 10…

I agree that you should give it time. Here's an explanation of why it can happen: http://www.thefitclubnetwork.com/2011/03/p90x-and-weight-gain/ If you continue to gain weight over a few weeks, then maybe you should adjust your diet. I lost weight and inches when I did full cycles of P90X, and I was already at my goal…

I don't know but I hope someone posts a medical explanation of this so I can feel better about it! I do know that part of it for me is that I am an emotional eater, and boy am I ever emotional while I'm pmsing.

Thank you for giving this the correct name! Now I know what to call it.

I was sent to a physical therapist after my twins because, and let me apologize in advance if I slaughter this medical explanation, one set of my ab muscles were pulled apart incorrectly during my emergency c-section. She had me start out by doing exercises that forced me to focus on my belly button dropping to the floor…

It's amazing how meat imitation products can be hidden in foods like chili and spaghetti sauce. I use the Morning Star crumbles in mine and it's delicious.

I think on average I eat a few slices per day. I do think it's important to eat whole grain bread, if possible. I am in love with the prairie bread from Whole Foods.

I wear mascara and Burt's Bees tinted lip shimmer when I go to work. Sometimes when I have a pimple, like the one on my face right now that is so large it pulls small children and animals into its orbit, I will use a bit of concealer and powder. I agree that too much make up is gross! I think I look a lot better with a…

It certainly can, as can stress. When I had the Mirena, and barely had my period at all, I bought pregnancy tests from the dollar store and kept them in my bathroom cabinet. I knew that I probably wasn't pregnant when I took one, but just seeing the negative sign made me happy!

I don't think the breed of dog matters as much as the fact that it was unattended. Dogs out and about unleashed can be scary. I have encountered a few on my runs over the years, but the only one that actually bit me (he didn't break the skin - just got his little nasty teeth on me) was a tiny, yappy scrap of a dog about as…

The caffeine hits your bloodstream much more quickly if you take it as an enema. But so messy! I drink my many cups per day with fakey creamer and splenda. It will mos def kill me one day but it's the one - ok one of the few - bad habits I can't seem to break!

Gosh I think Giada is, at the very least, super hot. I have no idea about her accent or cooking. If I make her food, can I turn into a millionaire who barely has to work for a living? Clearly, she's doing *something* better than I am.

^^ This. It hurts. I know. But you have to hold in your mind that you are better off without him, focus on keeping yourself healthy and reaching your goals, and living your life again.

First, I just have to say that I AM a librarian. And something. :-) Anyway, I would suggest trying videos if you're learning how to lift weights. Years ago, after I had my first set of kids, I used videos to learn how to do free weights because I couldn't afford a gym membership. 2011 was spent getting my muscle mass back…

An egg on whole grain bread. I love the prairie bread from Whole Foods. It keeps me full for hours. Before my blender broke, I made green monsters everyday. Ice, soy milk (or almond or skim or whatever works for you), chocolate protein powder, spinach, half a frozen banana, and 1/2 Tbs. peanut butter. Almond butter is…

I find that I feel much better when I exercise during my period. I hate it before I actually begin - I'm achy, cramping, and have a headache. But once I start, it makes me feel so much better. I would say that unless you have massive medical issues during your period, you should try to exercise. It won't hurt you, and will…
