  • I'm about to start Insanity. I've done 30 day shred, use my elliptical and do weight training. I still don't think I'm quite ready, but I want to do it just to say I have. Try to remember why you're doing it. As the others said, make sure you're not at too high of a deficit regarding your diet, but I just try to remind…
  • hi! i'm beckie, i'm 28, and i've got about 25 pounds left to lose after losing 65 already. i have a 9 year old and a 4 year old. i still have a problem with caffeine, but i've been able to wean myself to 1-2 cups of coffee a day, and maybe 1 diet mt dew a night on the weekends (i'm a weekend night nurse). it's really hard…
  • hi! i'm also a weightlifting fan, and while i do eat more than 1200 kcals, it's not much more, usually around 1300-1400. :) i'm motivated and supportive! i'd love to have more friends like me! i've got about 25 pounds left to lose and i need to stop having excuses and just get this crap done! bex

  • hey y'all! i'm a motivated and supportive friend! i feel like having the friends helps. one of the downsides with doing MFP on your phone is missing out on the community aspect. at least that was my issue when i first started. add me if you want! bex
  • oh i definitely agree. save for the nanny (what was her name? i forget) who was a little crazy with her sonic pen and minions killing people who questioned it, the adipose and the human race could have gotten along quite well, especially with those of us in the states. anyone remember the names of the planets that were…
  • definitely yogurt. and bananas.
  • depends on who is measuring me, but i range from 5'9-5'10. i'm hoping to get to about 160. about 25 pounds to go! i have really big shoulders and a huge ribcage, so i fear that anything smaller would look really bad on me.
  • any time i see diet pills i think of the adipose. and then i wish i could have a sonic pen so i could just sonic the excess weight away.
  • hi! i have a 9 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. also a 31 year old. i'm not really his mom, but sometimes i feel like i do a better job than my mother-in-law did haha :) i'm good for motivation and support if you wanna add! bex
  • i adore rory, despite not being a fan of amy. he reminds me of my husband--completely devoted, almost to a fault. arthur darvill is brilliant. i thought captain jack was a great addition to the doctor/rose dynamic, and i wish that they could have done more with it. but as pretty as jack is, my heart belongs to a tall…
  • Hi! I'm good for some *kitten* kicking! i've done 68 pounds so far, about 20 pounds to go. i definitely agree with making sure you have enough protein, but you do need carbs. it's what kind of carbs that you need! i love bread, so instead of sourdough (despair!) i've switched to 12 grain, and i've gone from eating three…
  • i'm a rose/doctor shipper, so i have to admit i'm not a huge fan of martha. i did really like this episode though, especially with the kitten children! i really like the face of boe as well. oh jack ;)
  • 1) he popped out of the cake! 2) tabitha and gus, i think. at least her daddy looked like a gus. she lived with her aunt sharon before the crack in the wall was fixed. and rory's daddy is brian. aka arthur weasley haha 3) the scanner is what the doctor made when he was living with craig to discover what was upstairs. there…
  • yep, since i was a kid. it was worse when i was heavier, and it's awful when i exercise outside on humid or high pollen count days. so i work out inside now, and have a rescue inhaler as needed. i also was on steroids for a while to bump up my lung capacity. perhaps you can discuss that with your MD as well as any…
  • Thanks all! I've been seriously considering joining the local aquatic center to do water aerobics. I've already lost 68 pounds, and my arthritis has gotten worse, so I know that losing these last 20 pounds isn't going to help much. I do see a doctor regularly, an orthopedist, as this is not rheumo related. I've been…
  • 1. david tennant in don't blink (don't even blink. blink and you're dead) 2. what is knowledge? 3. venusian something. akido? atido? i don't remember. i get it confused with mok'bara from star trek.
  • prozac made me lose weight, just because i wasn't hungry anymore. it stopped after a few weeks.
  • i've been practicing running. i'm ready for the BBC to call me at any time.
  • hi guys! i'm beckie. i'm a nurse and i have PCOS too, relatively new diagnosis after having two kids. my hormones are finally getting under control with the depo shot (i get migraines with estrogen, so i can't use that anymore), and aldactone, which helps with the acne and hirtuism. i've had issues with my weight since…
  • hey! i have PCOS too! i was diagnosed with atypical pcos relatively late in the game, just last year, despite the fact that i'm 28 and have two kids. drink lots of water. it helps battle the bloat that i get constantly. talk to your doctor about aldactone. it's a diuretic, but the off label use? to slow hirtuism and help…
  • well, not being a bond fan (gasp!), i'm not familiar with the actor. i'm kind of put off that he never watched the program, but maybe that's better as well, no specific doctor from that past that he would kind of mold himself like. i wonder what his trademark outfit would be? :D
  • 50th means TENNANT! and the doctor and rose. fangirls will collectively squeal all across the land.
  • i find that if i deny myself, that makes me grumpy and i ultimately eat it anyway, and even more than i would've in the first place. Smaller portion sizes make my life a little easier. i just eat my calories for the rest of the day according to what i ate. keep drinking water too! it keeps you flushing out.
  • West Lebanon represent! :D
  • today i'm a nerd because my four year old son drew a picture. no, that's not the reason. it's because of what the picture was of. it was the Doctor and his TARDIS. I've made my son a Whovian. fanTAStic!
  • One of the things that bothered me about eleven is that it suddenly seemed to be more about the companions versus the Doctor saving the universes again. I'm hoping that they will be able to focus again on the Doctor. My husband is kind of in love with Jenna-Louise Coleman. He's hoping she'll be staying around.
  • i have PCOS, and am treated with depo-provera (progesterone) and aldactone for the acne and hair growth. i don't have any specific diet, and i've been extremely fortunate to not have any problems with diabetes or insulin resistance. i DO know that weight loss can help both your symptoms of PCOS and decrease your chances…
  • Me too! I'd love more friends :)
  • I don't like the idea of a female Doctor either, nor am I into the idea of him being ginger yet! Can we have Tennant back?!
  • Since I started watching the series, Eleven has been my least favorite regeneration. I loved Nine, and would have had Ten's Time Tots running around the TARDIS, but Eleven? eh. I'm anxious to see who will be our next Doctor.
