Cycled to work today and then a bike ride with my youngest daughter. Another 8 miles down, 83.2 miles to go :)

8.8 miles completed today. I cycled to and from work and the gym and also went on the treadmill. I need to get a new pedometer so I can see how far I walk during a shift.

I think it's a great idea!! I also like the idea of measuring instead. Good luck xx

Hi, sounds like a good challenge, I'm in. It will be interesting to see how far I walk each day whilst at work. Off to find my ticker.

Ooh I was eyeing those up in tesco last week but decided against them incase they were too spicy. Think I'll give them a try.

I was a lifelong nail biter (to the point of bleeding fingers and wicks), my mum tried everything to stop me but nothing worked. Then 2 years ago I went on a cruise and treated myself to some acrylic nails before I went. I only had them on for 2 weeks but they felt completely different to biting my own nails so I couldn't…

I didn't know you could run 2 apps together on the iPhone. I have run keeper which I really like but I also have the c25k app. It would be great if I could run them both simultaneously.

Mines only available to my friends. Feel free to add me and have a look but I struggle to keep under on my sugar, usually because of fruit though x

Carbs and sugar!!! White toast with loads of butter, cakes, chocolate and jelly sweets. My mouths watering just writing about them!!!!

I think it looks good. Get going on the water though. It's hard to drink 8 glasses at first if you're not used to it (you need the loo constantly)but that soon calms down as your body adjusts and It really does help with the weight loss.

I'm also from the UK, Merseyside. Feel free to add me x

I have taken my own pulse to compare, it's usually between 60/70 at rest and shoots right up to 180 when I'm running (I've only just started running and very unfit). I explained this in the shop but he wasn't interested. I'll just have to wait for it to come back from polar but wondered if it's a common fault.

I love mine. I'm a nurse so I'm on my feet all day rushing around, these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had!!
-
Hi Jenny, I'm also a nurse (spinal), feel free to add me as a friend and good luck with your weight loss x

I was using weight watchers and stumbled across this site through one of their message boards. I started using this site to compare my calories to pro points and found I much preferred this site. I've just cancelled my WW subscription today.

Very informative thread, thanks

I completed wk3 d2 today. My 12 year old daughter wanted to join me so I gave her a lecture about seeing it through to the end etc, etc. Well I have to say she whooped my backside without breaking into a sweat, lol. My knees are a bit sore this week but I'm starting some strength training at the gym tomorrow so hopefully…

I also have a terrible sweet tooth. Once I start it is very difficult to stop. I find hot chocolate helps.

Hi kerry I understand about the shift work interfering with your eating patterns. I qualified as a nurse a year ago and managed to put on a couple of stone through my training and first year as a nurse. Now I've decided it's time I stopped my excuses (after I've finished this assignment, once I'm settled in my new job) and…

Have a look at the BBC good food website, Www.bbcgoodfood.com, you can also get a free app if you have an iPhone. They have loads of easy recipes. They also have different sections such as healthy and vegetarian. All the nutritional values are at the bottom of the recipe. Hope this helps x

I take sea kelp for stronger hair and nails. I've never heard anything about it aiding weight loss though, bonus if it does :)

I completed W2 D3 last night. Today I've bought a HRM to see if it helps me to pace myself. Also found out about a beginners running club starting in my area at the beginning of June, think I might give it a try x

How much water do you drink? I've had the same problem recently. I have been on weight watchers since January, losing steadily every week then all of a sudden it stopped. This week I have swapped to tracking my food intake on this site and started to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water a day. I've had a sneaky peak on the…
