Thanks for the post. I was actually considering Gilenya. I am currently taking Copaxone and have been for the past 14 yrs. The daily shot is no big deal at all anymore. Really small needle (sub que), and the side affects were just some minor site reactions--which only lasted a few minutes (with a slight sting from the…

Actually my husband (stevLL) and I are both friends with the same wonderful/supportive man. "Tim" was going to be passing through our neck of the woods, so he sent us a PM asking if he could meet us for a cup of coffee or tea etc. We jumped at the chance as he just so happens to be one of our oldest (longest) and most…

Actually, I am feeling better. I had my first infusion on Thursday, and my legs started to feel better yesterday (Friday), and today I felt good enough to go outside and groom 2 of our 3 horses. I had a really bad Flare in Jan, and since then, my feet have been numb and my legs were so heavy it was difficult to walk. I had…

You are looking wonderful! Yay for you! Great job! I wish you much success on that last 55 pounds you want to lose. I know you will be successful. Thanks for posting this...I needed the added boost to my determination. I also agree with you, ...the people on MFP are the best!!

Rob, This is an amazing suit! I think it's fantastic that they agreed (although not to sponsor you) but to at least donate the cost of it to the MS society/foundation. I absolutly love what it says on the back. I think you are a inspiration to many. I know you inspire me. I wish you all the best in your upcoming Ironman…

Yup. The weigh tloss has had a definite impact on the loss of "chest". Oh well...good thing my husband did not marry me for the breasts I used to have! But I would much rather have a smaller chest and be thinner and healthier than to have a fuller chest and be heavy and not as healthy. A fair trade off I say!

I too have problems with this--esp because we live in the desert and summers here are HOT!! When I work out I kick our air conditioner up to where it's down right cold and I keep a fan blowing air on me at all times. I don't workout in a gym that does not have a good air conditioner for this very reason. Also I drink LOTS…

Nope. I adore my husband. We were friends first before becoming husband and wife, and now we are best friends plus so very much more. I am happy and so is he. Heavy or Thin/Fit --we are in this together for the long haul. My husband is wonderful just by being who he is.

We have been together for over 12 years and married for just over 11 of them. Has it all been roses? No, but then anything worth having is also worth working for. We disagree at times but usually agree on most things. We are friends First. Our marriage and it's success is important to both of us. Our marriage is now at a…

I too suffer from terrible leg spasticity. It was just my left leg--now it's both. Usually happens at night, but now it's also occuring during the day time hours. I have tried all the drugs out there with very limited success: Baclofen, Zanaflex (tizanidine), diazepam, neurontin and skelaxin..to name a few. They don't work…

Hi everyone. My name is Vikki. I am not new to MFP (have been on since 3/31/11) and I am already friends with a few of you in this group. However, I did not know there was an actual MS group. And so,...now I do! Great idea. It's so nice to have some folks out there who can actually relate to some of the unique problems or…

Hang in there. I'm having problems getting my neurologist to "think outside the box"--as he keeps prescribing me meds and then more of the same meds that don't work for my problem! I found something that does work for me--but he does not believe in it, so he won't prescribe it for me (won't even let me give it a try on a…

Bump, My husband LOVES salmon and I can't stand it. I have MS and need to incorporate more fish (esp salmon) in to my diet for the omega 3 it contains. Several of these posts/recipies sound interesting....guess I will give salmon another try!:drinker: Thanks for all the ideas and the orig. post.

SW 248 (started MFP on 3/31/11) CW 192.7 GW 125 (or if I get to 135-130 and I'm happy with the way I feel and with the way my clothes fit---I'll stop there, but I was 125 before I was diagnoised with MS--so that's how I picked my goal weight).
