Informative, Thanks Christine. These days I am averaging about 5 hrs a night. Seem to be ok with this--would like to get 6-7, but it's much better than the 16-18 I used to get depending on MS and MS meds.

Loved this Dave. Suzie really is a Super wife, Super Partner and a Super friend (How about just an all around Super Human Being?!). You Both are very lucky and very loving. God bless you both, may your journey together continue a long..long while....

This is great news !! I have been on Tysabri for 8 months. But, before starting Tysabri, I tested positive for the JCV virus, so Tysabri is only a viable option for me for 24 months( max) or it becomes more of a risk. I'm doing fine so far, but taking a pill sure beats a needle poke anytime!

You inspire me to move more and try harder every day, Thank-you. God bless your kind doctor too. t seems he really did go in to medicine for all the right…

Still laughing at these. Too funny. We need to post some pics of our dogs (we have 4 of various breeds).

Yes, the weather definitely affects my MS. Mostly the heat although extreme cold is not so great either. I long for a nice temperate climate. The heat makes my legs weak, and my vision blur. I am starting to notice a definite trend--it I get too hot, too tired or too stressed--then the cement feeling in my legs gets worse.…

Yup. I take 2000 units 2x day and have for over a year now. I also live in AZ, and I love to be outside with our horses (when it's not too hot)--so I get plenty of sunshine as well. No problems at all. I know it's really good for us MS folks, so you may want to talk to your doctor and try it again.

^^^^^^^^^ I agree with this!

Hi Christine. I was 38 when I started noticing I would run in to the walls at work when I tried to go out the door. Didn't think much of it, because "grace" has never been my middle name. Then I started to literally fall off my horse when I went to do somethng simple like adjust one of my stirrups. Hmmm...this got me to…

Hi. I was diagnosed with RR in 1997. Started having problems with my legs feeling like I was wearing cement boots all the time in Jan of this year. Tried several rounds of IV steroids to no avail. Finally went to the Mayo in June of this year. Was informed I had moved in to Secondary Progressive. Not real pleased with this…

Hi. I have had MS "officially" since 1997. I have been doing fairy well until 1/2012 when my legs went cement feeling on me and it won't go away. Decided it was time to push through this anyway. I am checking in to the book you suggested as I want to do whatever it takes to feel good again. I am already GF, eat very little…

Thanks everyone!

Thank-you! It's now been 8 months, and is getting a bit old. Time for it to go away

Love your humor. Very entertaining story indeed. I say $400 well spent and NSV's well deserved:smile: .

My husband is an awesome cook and loves to grill as well. We eat a LOT of chicken every week. I like it best when he brines it first for a few hours--usually in a mixure of citrus, some cut up apples and bit of apple/cider vinegar cut with warm water. Then he adds seasonings (garlic/oregano, pepper and a touch of oilve…

Hi Tera and welcome. MS is an interesting challenge. So glad you found it early and seem to be on top of things so far. Always make your own health and it's care a top priority. Keep asking and pursuing the best care and the doctors you can. If something does not feel right...listen to your body. This is a great site. Lots…

I have just started reading : Reversing Multiple Sclerosis 9 Effective Steps To Recover Your Health by Celeste Pepe and Lisa Hammond. I am not very far into it yet--as I read pretty slowly these days, but so far I really like what I am reading. I am always looking for any "outside of the box" kind of thinking as the…

I lost the eye-sight in my right eye on my 37th birthday (later confirmed optic neuritus) I had been running in to the walls at work (when trying to go out the door) and even started just plain falling off my horse from time to time doing such routine things as moving to adjust my seat in the saddle. Legs just started to…

Sulfa is the biggest. But also: horses, dogs, cats and bermuda grass. We have horses, dogs cats and we feed bermuda hay!:flowerforyou: I get a series of three alergy shots every other week to counter alergies (since basically the Alergist told me I was alergic to everything in life)---except for water. We live out in the…

Awesome! I am Very Blessed to have such a person like my husband/partner/best friend is. He is a wonderful man and is Awesome in my eyes.

I would definitely help. I help others (men...women...whomever). I routinely carry 50 lbs--dog food/bird seed etc. by myself ( although an 80lb sack of horse pellets pushes me over my limit) - even if I am not walking all that well (I have MS). Yup, I have noticed too, that folks rarely ever offer to help--even if I am…

You look wonderful!!I I just started lifting with my husband and I am going light and slow since I just had surgery last week. Seeing your results inspiries me to start working harder as soon as I can. I don't care as much about the number on the scale as I do the way my clothes fit and how my body looks. Thanks for…

You look wonderful!! Very healthy and happy! I have been on this lifestyle change for just over a year myself, and I am 1/2 pound away from being at my half-way point. It's seeing posts like yours that help me "Stay the Course" and ..."Keep the Faith"!! Thank-you for sharing.

Wow, there's just way too many to name them all. However, my all time favorite is definitely... The Princess Bride. My husband and I quote lines from this wonderful book and movie back and forth to each other all the time!

Prayers being offerd for your Father, you, your family, the wonderful donor and the kind/selfless love of the donor's family. I believe 100% in organ donation. May you All be Blessed.

Thanks for the reminder. I really look forward to listening to Joyce Meyers in the morning. Taking time to focus on Scripture is a great way to start the day. I like Joyce because she phrases things in such a way that it is easy to apply to things going on in my own life.
