I'm self employed. Mostly providing services for photographers, tutoring software, designing workflow and backup, teaching and doing retouching, print collateral and website maintenance. I log once a week. I weigh myself Thursday, Friday, and Sat - sometimes Sunday and simply log the best day even if I go up.

Firstly, congratulations Wennim on being 90lbs down. I tend to set big obvious goals. First was 10% -20% body weight loss. Then is was my birthday goal. Next is 100lbs lost which might be the end of this month (11/24/14) and then when I hit 200lbs (2/2/15). After that I will have to set some new ones. So far so good though…

Hi Carrie, Good luck on your bypass prep. It's a brave step forward. I can't wait to hear how everything goes.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and wishes. I am always very thankful for finding a great group of people I have meet here.

Do I vote yes. Do i have faith in the system? Well thats a whole other question. But I read the measures and research the candidates the best I can and fill in my sample ballet and convince myself that I have made a somewhat informed choice even though I realistically lost steam half way through. But then I am a young…

Welcome back from under the knife Julie!

Congratulations, and good work. I'll at some point have to dig some of my larger images out of the deepest darkest corners of my hard drive.

Good work!

I certainly thought about backing out many time. Thats my anxiety talking. Oh a new bike will definitely be coming, and it might be before any new goals. Each of these trips keeps reinforcing how I don't want to keep traveling these distances on that bike.

Damn, its like you swapped heads. What a change!

I find small goals to help, at least in the physical fitness. Usually by making events of them. So instead of making sure I have hit a certain number It helps me to know I have completed a certain event. That way it's not about the numbers its about the activity. In my case they are usually bike routes. I have obviously…

it would also probably mean your in jail... But then that would also mean its far easier to stick to your diet.

Well to be fair your daughter doesn't disassemble into several parts to make easier to carry. Man, I've almost lost 3 3yo's... Dear god.

Watching the weather for Saturday desperately hoping the rain moves on to early in the morning or later in the day otherwise I don't know what I will do. I was really looking forward to this as its one of the last events of the season, and i don't have the gear to ride in the rain for six hours, nore have I ever done it…

Oh look at you, lording your over weightness over our obsess heads. No, congratulations. I am almost at Obese Class I so I can only image how good it feels to finely be just overweight. Your doing great and so close to your goal. Great work!

Definitely some positive attitude and personality changes with the weight loss. Not everything has changed but I definitely notice the confidence, the happiness. I am much happier and more content (who knows if that will stay but I will enjoy it while it is here). I certainly notice how I feel when I do not exercise or…

The spreadsheet I keep to track all my measurements on (calorie deficits and weight) also calculates my BMI each time I record a weigh in and It's conditionally color coded so that when my BMI change moves me into a new classification it changes color. I have been waiting so long for it to go from red to pink. I only have…

Well I did it, 3XL and 52 size pants no longer exist for me. They have been purged from my life. I am still going through the rest of my cloths (dear god it seems I haven't gotten rid of anything in 10 years, seriously I keep thinking I have reached the end and then their is another pile to go through) and it feels like…

I also signed up for a Metric Century charity ride for the weekend after next. That was on my exercise bucket list, and assuming everything goes well I hope to do more. It's only 62 miles but it should be a lot of fun. It's still hard to imagine. I have always fantasized about doing athletic things (you know, in the…

It's totally what I have done to myself more then anything, then add to that it exacerbates any potential genetically inherit problems. I've recked myself and now I have to deal with it. But at least your dealing with it, you may feel in a suckier place right now with your health issues then before but you can only be in a…

Don't worry people pass me all the time. Older people with gray hair and spandex just zooming pass... I prefer my fellow seniors, you can tell use all by the fact we are wearing high vis safety vests. Seriously its all 60ys in salty vests and me. My people.

Oh one of those confident people hey. Their is nothing that your weight has held you back from doing?
-
Yeah I'm having a hard time with this one. I think the two I will do are one finely getting rid of old fat cloths and two (if I can get an appointment on time) get a haircut (or maybe just getting the appointment is enough, that way I can't back out). I know a haircut isn't something but but with my issues it is, it's very…

Have I had babies and no ones told me? I have "overhang" though it has nothing to do with having given birth. I have a feeling it will always be their. I'm not at my goal weight so it's hard to know how bad it will be, maybe it wont be as severe. But even after 80+lbs it's still their. I particularly get sores in old…

A quiet weekend here. I have a ride planned for sunday with a family member, just a nice out and back along some foot hills and streams. Then back home and off to a clients house. So thats about it, nothing special but enjoyable.

That sounds tasty.

Just wanted to check if the image posting feature works.

Evening everyone, It was a work day and then an a nice evening/night ride. I was mocked by a cat as i rode up a hill at a piddly 6mph. The cat came over and sauntered up the hill faster then I could ride. Their was a nice cat at the top of the hill who cam over to be petted, of course he distracted me and I made a wrong…
