  • Hi welcome to MFP. I just started MFP a couple of weeks ago and have lost 4 pounds. I have never tracked my calories before. I was shocked at how many calories I must have been consuming. At least now I know why I have gained so much weight. Tracking calories could not be any eaiser because everything I eat is in the…

  • I have always been a pretty healthy person. As a kid and most of my adult life I have never been sick. But now I have high cholesterol. My family has a history of strokes so my goal is to get my cholesterol and weight under control, because I want to live long enough to see my daughter grow up and have a family of her own.…
  • Hi ................I know what you're going thru. I've been trying for a long time to lose my weight, but instead I just keep gaining a little at a time. A lot of mine has to do with stress and the fact that I hate to exercise. But, I am determined that 2010 is going to be my year to lose. I only need to lose about 27…

Sugar, Gage, Sweet Pea, Daisy Marie, Gracie Louise, Scruffy, Sassy Rae, and Blue were all adopted from an animal shelter. Buddy, Sadie, Stetson and Bodine were dumped on the side of…
  • I know how hard it is to resist the candy. M&M peanuts are my all time weakness. Everytime I say I'm not going to do something that exactly what I end up doing. My willpower is not real strong. When you get the urge to grab a piece of candy grab your water instead and take a break or go for a short walk. Chris

  • Hello, my name is Chris. I'm 54 years old and live in TX. I just found the MFP site and I'm so happy about it because I have been seriously wanting to lose weight for about a year now. My biggest problem was not having enough motivation to keep me going. I'm hoping to find that here. After logging my food and finding out…
  • I'm in 2 down 9 to go. I gave up drinking beer so I can lose the weight, so this will be the first superbowl without beer and all the good fatty foods, chips and dips. I'm really committed to loosing and keeping it off this time. I've already filled out my food diary and I will be within my calorie rangeby the end of the…
  • Hi mixiblob- Welcome - I'm new to the site also. Started yesterday. So far, I have found that logging all the food in the food diary is going to be a big help for me. I had no idea how many calories I was eating until I started logging them. I was shocked at how much I was over-eating. I've always heard it helps to keep a…
