Awesome idea :) Can I do it in one day?? ;)

If you're eating on a deficit and doing cardio, it's not muscle that's affecting the scale. Muscle is more dense than fat, so unless you're seeing smaller dress sizes, i'd focus more on your daily ins and outs by tracking/monitoring more.

Eat lots of protein, add weight lifting, and make sure you're burning what you think you are (I'd suggest a 24/7 device like the BodyBug or BodyMedia FIT).

If it's nothing more than whey protein, then just buy whey protein and eat nutritious foods.

May 5th 2012 here :) I have a race in November then Im back to a normal routine 'for life', as you say.

Whole wheat bread with peanut or almond button and jelly. Totally the only way to go..

That number is way too high. Basically, feel free to log a portion of the time that you're there as 'leisure walking', try to keep to your portions/diet, come prepared with snacks/lunch just in case, drink water, and don't eat the whole thing of (insert bad for you food here). If you end up getting something, have a few…

I'm seeing 20 lbs = 2 dress sizes, so ~10 lb=1 dress size

I started at 166.5 after getting engaged. GW is 135...I started in January and I'm a little over halfway there for a wedding in May, but I've been focusing on a race first. I'm sure you'll be able to do it!

"well my jeans still fit.." Well remember you bought those because your last pair didn't fit anymore? Also, I'm still wearing the same pair after losing almost 20 lbs. That's a lot of give and take for 1 pant size..

This weekend I went with my fiance and his buddies to a strip club (to humor them..). When my fiance and I left, a group of guys passed us and one said to the other "I hope she doesn't work there.." That was traumatic, but a few days ago...

Calories in < calories out. Make sure you're eating enough protein, drinking enough water, and sleeping enough. Ready set go.

I drink a lot of coffee. A lot. If you're worried about artificial sweetners, try weaning yourself off starting with 1 packet. Try that for ...weeks even. I drink mine with 2% milk and now if I try Coffeemate, I can't drink it because it's too sweet!

Heres the truth: there's no such thing as muscle tone. Here's what there is: 1. Gaining lean muscle mass. Requires eating more than your daily output, lots of protein. 2. Losing fat (which covers lean muscle mass), making it less visible. Requires smart dieting with lots of protein. #2 can make you look more muscular,…

Your speed may drop, your form shouldnt, if you do the same style of biking (hills, speed workouts, long workouts) as you should do for running

BodyMedia FIT

My fiance and I use BodyMedia FITs. I didn't start losing weight consistently until I got one (even though I was doing multi-hour workouts). He bought it full price and I got mine 75% cheaper by watching Craigslist... Having the right information about your daily calorie ins/outs is key. Its your health...invest in it.…

Relax your shoulders/upper arms and your breathing.. Swing them around mid-run. Look like a monkey, we don't care. When you run, are you tense/anxious/stressed? All this can contribute...
