I definitely see a difference especially in the upper abdomen area. Keep up the good work!

I have to stay out of the kitchen besides meal times. Sometimes I have to leave the house entirely and go for a walk. After 30 min, the cravings generally pass. Keep everything out of sight and plan your meals in advance. Keep MFP updated after every bite. If you see you don't have calories remaining, you may not be as…

It's a must-have for me. I have 1-2 scoops of C4 preworkout before starting my workout and it really takes my workout to the next level. It also makes the workout more enjoyable and less of a tired drag.

Im 7 weeks PP and Im ~4-5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight and I'm in the same boat. It's frustrating to have a whole closet full of clothes but to have to resort to maternity clothes. It's unfortunate but I figure I'll have to deal with the situation and just lose weight and shape up, regardless of the number.…

In case you run into this situation, exercising (and the inevitable bleeding or return of the bleeding) is not concerning unless you go through an overnight type pad within an hour (and definitely if this happens a couple hours in a row).

I've done Kris Gethin's 12 wk plan a couple times. The first couple weeks where he's traveling are a bit sloppy but overall it worth trying. He uses a lot of different machines but I'd suggest it because you can always watch the video to see what and how he does it.

When I was training for an Ironman, I would do up to 7 hour workouts. However, even when Im not training for something in particular, my husband and I often lift for a couple hours, do a spin class, then go hiking for a couple hours. That can be 6 hours of exercise in one day. We do it because we enjoy it and we do it in a…

At 2 weeks PP, I was doing short daily walks (~20 min). Around 3 weeks PP, I started doing yoga classes at the gym 1-2x/week and 1 LIGHT weightlifting session (think rehab weights, high rep), and occasional walks. By 5 weeks I was doing daily hour-long walks, yoga 2x/week, and a moderate weightlifting session. Im 6 weeks…

Wow! That's a huge difference! It's great to see other women lifting (especially heavy!)

I lost 30 lb in one year for my wedding and an Ironman. It has worked for me! You just need to stay accountable!! But I definitely needed to edit DOWN the calories burned. MFP estimated way too high for me. I got a BodyMedia FIT to actually see what I was burning.

hahahah no. We wing it

Wow amazing. Has SOMEONE been doing some weights? lol

WOW Im so sorry people were such a**ses. I really can't believe it. Congrats on the NSV, you earned it!

It looks amazing! Did you cry a bit when you tried it on :)

Awesome ladies! I aimed to lose 30 lbs for my wedding and ended up at 23. Luckily my dress was corseted LOL. I was happy with most of my picts though, so I guess it was a success! Stay focused, stay motivated, and you will get there!

"Don't focus on the food. Focus on the day. Enjoy the company" This!! Stay away from the food tables! :)

We met on e-Harmony, dated for under a year, then got engaged. We waited almost a year and a half to get married. I think you need at least that much time to really start to get to know someone.

DO IT LADY!! There will ALWAYS be excuses. When I was training for the Ironman, I had every excuse in the world to go home and just chill out, but I had goals let me tell ya, and excuses wouldn't stop me. (Ok maybe a few nights they did, but I didn't let it get in the way of my goals). Try practicing ways to remove excuses…

It's great to see so many people interested in triathlons. I just did my first Ironman in November and it was amazing. (Did an Oly and Half-Iron before that). Good luck! Remember, with the right motivation and determination, you WILL FINISH it! (without DQ-ing :) )
-
Good luck on your Ironman, you'll love it. It was such an amazing experience for me. Make sure you're ready for the heat!! Ironman Cozumel IS AMAZING. I did it in November...SO much fun. It's just a pain to get there. Make sure you use bike delivery service and DON'T bring it on the plane with you. It is a NIGHTMARE to get…

It varies...sometimes you need to see that you can push through before you can enjoy it. Others just won't enjoy it. Give it a couple months and if you still don't like it, find something fun that provides the same benefit like volleyball or soccer.

Ive done an Oly, Half-Iron, and Iron. Let me know if you need any advice! To start, practice your routine for T1/T2, use body glide, make sure you can run in wet socks without getting blisters, proper fueling, and HAVE FUN!!

prplldybg - for a short race, you can get by ok on Gatorade beforehand and during, if needed. If you want something that will keep you going, I recommend Gu Bloks and water. They're pretty tasty and come in convenient packs.

Awesome job! Triathlons are a LOT of fun. I just did the full Ironman a few months ago so I think it's cool that triathlon has become a fitness buzzword (well, maybe 2nd to zumba)

stretch and exercise some more!
-
This You have to do rounds of each approach, ie bulk, cut, bulk, cut, to get where you want to be. I'd say get to your goal weight first, then work on building muscle.

Careful of olive oils..adds up calories FAST I learned to like JUST balsamic vinegar. Now I practically pour it over everything Horseradish gives anything a fun kick Lemon/lime juice, italian seasonings, etc are all good too

ALWAYS make time for your health. No excuses. That being said, you can spend more time on weekends doing things like grilling a massive amount of white chicken and veggies. Don't bother with pastas, bagels, or wraps. They are high calorie and don't keep you full for long. I used to be a carb QUEEN. Now I barely ever make…

You're eating high calorie but not filling/lasting food. Eat more lean proteins (i.e. 8 oz chicken) with meals and things like low fat cottage cheese for snacks.
