I don't know what the "teams" are in here but I have a group at www.facebook.com/moveitandloseit where we all participate in a Friday weekly weigh in to see who our biggest loser is. Helps keep us all on track. If that's something you're looking for, come join us. Have a wonderful day!

I have to constantly "Shock" my body...if I've been working intense, I take a couple days off, or just walk a couple miles...if I've had it pretty easy, I take it more intense. Usually does the trick for me. If you're not taking days to rest, your body will start to save every calorie you eat thinking it needs to store it…

Way to go and happy birthday!

Congratulations...I know what a great feeling that is. I have a group on facebook where we all participate in a Friday weekly weigh in to see who our "biggest loser" of the week is. Its nice to have that friendly competition and helps keep us all accountable for our actions. We're at www.facebook.com/moveitandloseit for…

I've lost 47.5 pounds to date. I walk in the evenings and sometimes give my 3 year old a piggy back ride for the whole mile and she weighs 34 pounds. Its amazing to me just putting that much weight back on and seeing what a difference it makes. Every ounce, every pound we lose goes a long ways! Congrats on only being…

That is very awesome...every pound makes a big difference when it comes to your health and its awesome when friends or family notice and comment. Way to go!

I started August 10, 2010 and am 5'2" and starting weight was 185.3 Today I'm 137.6. I started slowly by walking and then added strength training. You just take it one day at a time. Get up and make the best choices you can each day and make small goals, and celebrate those small goals. That takes you all the way. Also…

Thank you for the friend add this morning. I think the very best thing you can do is go public with your weight loss. When I first started, I went public to my family and friends on Facebook and there was mornings, it was extemely hard for me to keep on going and someone would leave a comment that said, "Wow you're doing…

I stayed motivated by going public, not just here on MFP but on facebook. Having friends or family email me and tell me, "I'm working out now because I've seen how hard you work and I owe it to you"...that's what helps keep me going. I also have a group at www.facebook.com/moveitandloseit where we try to motivate, share…

It will get smaller but I don't think it will go away completely, not without a tummy tuck. I've had 2 cesections...one 3 years ago and one 12 years ago. Last year I was at 185 pounds, today I'm at 138 pounds. I still have about 13 pounds to hit my main goal but I still have a little pooch there. I just try to remember, I…

Slice it in thin slices, put it in a pan with just a little olive oil and you can put sliced onions and fresh garlic...cook just a little while over medium heat. Very yummy. Also, you can slice them lengthwise about 1/4 inch thick, spray each side with pam...sprinkle with garlic salt or just pepper if you're watching your…

I have the same thing...I went from 185 pounds to 138 pounds so far, and my tummy does hang, just a little but not too bad. If you're not already adding toning and stregnthening to your routine, I'd start now. I'm afraid nothing I do will take it all away but it does look better than before. I'd rather be smaller with a…

I'm coming up on my 1 year mark. I'm 5'2", started at 185 and currently 138.4 When I first started, I just hoped to be in the 160's but secretly hoped I'd hit 150's...I got there and wanted to keep going. I too always thought, "I've been big most my life and people like me can't be skinny" I never ever thought I'd be…

First, be proud of who you are. That's it. Theres no comparison. No 2 people are built the same. When I first started, I was 185 pounds and all my sister in laws are 105 to 120...I used to get disgusted being around them. You just have to realize you do this for you and you may never look like others, but why would you…

I have family who's done weight watchers, raved about it, then put on all the weight plus some when they come off...now they've asked how I've lost. Its all about life style changes. Knowing what you're putting into your body and the exercise you do daily to make it move. Everyone could do it if they would just focus on…

That is so very awesome...always remember how far you've come, not how far you need/want to go...that will take you all the way to your goal. Congratulations!
-
Very awesome! Way to go!

Congratulations on taking charge of your life, starting your journey, sticking with it, and someday hitting that final goal!!! Very awesome!

Go buy some Breyers no sugar, ice cream...90 calories for 1/2 a cup and only 4 grams sugar. Or get the "Skinny cow" ice cream sandwiches...those are 140 calories for the whole thing and I think 4 grams of sugar. You can enjoy your ice cream fix without feeling guilty or going way over on sugar! Good luck!

I don't eat out often, at all...but when I did last week I grabbed a grilled chicken breast from KFC and a side of green beans. I think it was 200 calories total if I remember right. Good luck!

Very wonderful post! Thank you so much... :-)

I do too...I think it's part genetic. Some people just have stetchier skin than others. I've just come to deal with it. Best of luck to you!

I think sit down with her, one on one, explain to her what has worked for you and so many others. That's its about making better choices, and working out. I have a cousin who is over 300 pounds and after seeing the changes I made, she has been able to stick with it herself. I still let her do what she wants/needs to do for…

Yup...when I first started I was a 38C...now I'm a 34B I lost 10 pounds last month and they seem so much smaller to me all of a sudden. Kinda sucks to lose it there but, I'd rather be a healthy weight than overweight with a nicer rack...lol Good luck to you!

I buy the bush's pinto beans...they are 80 calories for 1/2 a cup. Others I've seen are 120 cal for 1/2 a cup. Avoid the "Grillin" beans and others like them as they are loaded with extra sugar! I usually cook them with chopped onion, jalapeno's, a little ham, and chili powder...yummy!
-
Try to make sure you drink atleast 80 ounces of water a day...it makes a huge difference. Try to walk some if you're not used to working out. I try to walk a mile everynight after dinner with the family. I walk alot in the morning but always try to walk 20 minutes after dinner. The thing that really worked for me the past…

Thank you all...I've been sittin here close to tears all morning. I used to take calcuim when I was pregnant with my 3rd child but I got a kidney stone from it so I stopped. I do drink 2 big glasses of milk daily though. I appreciate everyone for their support and words. Somedays, its just what we need to push thru one…
-
I go thru the same thing...I lay on a heating pad about 30 minutes a day and it helps me. I just try to keep moving and work thru it. Good luck!

Definetly set "mini" goals. If you only focus on the "big" goal, it seems it takes forever to get there and you're more likely to give up. If you have mini goals, and mini celebrations when you reach them, it keeps you on track. Best of luck in all you do.
