Last year I took a break from counting calories because I was so busy all the time I didn’t have the brain power for it. I listened to my body and tried to make nutritious choices and I dropped about 30 pounds. Only reason I started counting again was because I wasn’t eating enough because of my depression and my body went…

I know the feeling @animatorswearbras I have had to cut out gluten for a long time and just recently started having severe issues with dairy. And I know something is still messing up my system when I eat sometimes. I haven’t figured it out though. And I really don’t like the prospect of cutting anything else out, but I’m…

Y’all can add me.

Any idea how long it might take me to stop lactating? It’s super awk since I live with a new born... kind of a reminder of stuff I rather not think about right now. My dr said be patient and don’t stimulate them and it should just go away. I didn’t even think to ask about a time frame while I was there.

Oh and this week I had a really really light “cycle”. The dr said it’s libel to be weird the next couple cycles cause what my hormones are doing but that it is looking like I’m moving in the right direction now.

Ok so I’ve had another apt. They think I had a misscarrige. They tested my hormones and they said they seem to be trying to reregulate. He is putting me back on a time release version of metphormin to help my body reregulate and prepare to try to get pregnant on purpose at some point In the next year. He still wants me to…

@KnitOrMiss When you misscarried with the chemical pregnancy (if it's not to sensitive to talk about) what was it like. Cause I've still not bleed or passed anything like I did with my other miscarriages. I assume I would at least bleed like a period of nothing else right???
-
@KnitOrMiss Thank you for the input. I am not a total stranger to chemical miscarriages. I am used to starting a cycle back up again after that and I still haven't. I did get a recomendation for a dr today though so I'm hoping I can get an apointment soon to figure it out. How does the progesterone treatments work? I have…

I wish I could say that its better outside of the military treatment but I have had drs that bad and even worse. I went in to get a fasting glucose test run and I was told to go in fasting and then when I showed up they told me they couldn't run those tests and got mad at me for showing up fasting cause they wanted to run…

for me I really struggled to use metformin, it made me sick and although it did help me kick start my weight loss after a year on it I couldn't continue using it because I started having additional reactions to it. I have however cut out my consumption of wheat almost completely. this has done wonders for me. I still eat…

It can be really frustrating to talk to normal people about weight loss. To be perfectly honest I don't actively discuss these kind of things with people who haven't dealt with PCOS anymore. It just ends up in frustration and me feeling like a failure, even starving myself at one point. The idea is to be patient with…

That's not silly at all, I can do that for an interview or once deal things. It is really once I get the job or even join a group ( such as taking a class or anything with clos interactions with more than a couple people) that I start having issues. I start wear out after a couple days ( occasionally weeks depending on how…

I've never used amazon only netflix. How does it work? Do you need a membership or something?

If you like frozen you should watch this too http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4ThvBNZdGcQ

Are you currently working with a dr? Are you on any medication? I know most of the people with insulin resistance are on metaformin, but not everyone with PCOS has that symptom. Generally the stuff I've gathered from my reading is it is manageable so long as you are actively managing it. For most I've gathered is basically…

If getting you exercise in is hard try to do it in 10min intervals through out the day just do little things like parking at the far end of the parking lot, taking the satires at work (my mom goes up and down them with a group of coworkers at lunch time) or have your grocery list ready and see how fast you can gather…

Everyone is different so be patient as you figure out what your body needs. If you aren't already you should probably talk to a dietitian if not IRL at least friend on on here for questions like this. I know when I was getting started with the low carb thing one of the ones on here said 30-35% is probably a better range…

Congrats on figuring out what you need to do. All I can say is future children is my motivation too and it's a strong one. Because PCOS is hereditary understanding it for your own health is great, but also for them. My mom has been a great recourse since she had it too and she was able to let me know it was going to be ok…

I was official diagnosed 2 months ago with PCOS via ultrasound and blood work. When the ultra sound tech saw my ovaries she was like wow ok there's your problem more than likely. She said it was like straight out of her text book. Then I talk to the dr about my cycles the fact I wasn't pregnant after being married 3 years…

Thank you very much. For the advice. As far as whole food... I know this probably sounds stupid, but what do you mean? Like organic? Or just not meals from a box? Or just whole grain? I do try to go out for a mile walk every day I have the energy. I have two dogs so that helps keep me motivated on that front. I'm in an…

I'm still kind of new to this so I haven't had a chance to see a difference, but I wanted to say congrats! :flowerforyou: wish I had a party poper smiley but this flower will have to do.

I'm not so sure if any one character inspires me but a series sure can. My two fitness inspiring ones would probably be sword art online, and kenichi... Then again fairy tail, bleach, naruto, and inuyasha were good for it back when they were new to me, I might even go back and watch them because of this thread

At least you have a reason to have them my husband gets really frustrated when I freak out like he is going to hit me. I've never had anyone hit me, and I know he wouldn't do anything to hurt me (when I'm thinking clearly) but I freak out and hide in the closet sobbing till it passes. And it I can't go hide I go possum. I…

I feel the same way. My husband didn't understand why I joined this group, and that kind of sums it up. It really makes me feel alone, and discouraged. I read that depression is often connected with PCOS, and I'm starting to wonder how much of it is chemical and how much of it is situational depression. I know for me I've…

I hate morning workouts they just never work for me. I end up working out right after work because if I don't do it then I end up taking a nap and getting nothing done but work. That and my husband doesn't like the idea of me going for walks in the dark.

I have had hormone issues since I started having a cycle, but it wasn't till last month that I got this pcos diagnosis. I'm still trying to come to terms with it to be honest, but it is definitely a fit for all the issues I have been struggling with. I would love to have some people to talk to about it, and help support me…
