Thank you for the pictures and words of encouragement. I am 5'1" and I'd like to lose 50 lbs. I have been on and off this site for some time. Looking at the success stories is what keeps me coming back. It's nice to know that people who are successful, don't always succeed on their first or second try. You look beautiful…

From one Boricua to another, welcome and good luck to you.

Congratulations. Looking good is nice but being at a healthy weight is even better! I'm glad you can wear that shirt again and I hope you feel great wearing it as a reminder of how far you've come.

Congratulations! You look handsome and happy. As someone who hates being in pictures, I'm sure you felt great smiling for the camera for the wedding pictures. You should be very proud of your accomplishment. WTG!

Welcome! I'm struggling myself and as a 48 yr old 5'1" woman whose doctor recommended losing 50 lbs, I truly understand. I had been successful on this site in the past but when my daughter became ill, I stopped trying. My daughter is now doing better and I am back. I have appreciated the knowledge, encouragement and…

I am like you. I don't always post, but I too, enjoy reading other people's post. I am so sorry to hear about the theft but am so happy that you are both fine. I think having the air and the fans running was a blessing. Take care of yourselves and hopefully the police will catch this person.

Try not to worry about what people thought about you "before" just accept that people realize that you are taking care of yourself, getting healthier and setting an example for others. Sometimes when we are overweight most of our lives, we are worried deep inside that we won't recognize ourselves. We never met the thinner…

Your old friend's comment, was probably more about her than about you. You'll walk a little prouder on Tues. knowing the jeans look great. How wonderful that both you and hubby are losing weight together. Congratulations, enjoy your success!

Weighing in once - twice a week is enough. I, too, am on the 1-2 lb a wk weight loss. May get discouraged to see small amount gain/loss if done daily. Have lost 7 lbs so far in 3 wks; not much; but better yet, fit into a pair of jeans I haven't fit into for two years. Haven't taken new measurements yet; I thought I'd do…

I, too, am a fan of quaker oatmeal. I've tried it with water vs. 1% milk and did not like it at all. I will try w/the banana and peanut butter tomorrow. Sounds delicious. I agree I feel full a lot longer w/oatmeal for breakfast. Thanks again.

Scary info on splenda. I have used for years with no side effects. Only 1-2 packets a day, though. Do not drink diet soda, just water or green tea which I do not sweeten. The two-three times a year I want soda, I drink a regular Coke instead. Thanks for the warning.

Welcome to the site! I started a week ago today and I've lost 4.5 lbs so far. I have 50 lbs to lose and you inspire me. You are a survivor and a strong woman! I've also used Weight Watchers in the past; lost weight; and eventually gained it all back once off the program. Good luck to you.
