No ab workout...movement first. Abs will build muscle and yes you want that but first if you are not use to working out you will need to get use to making movement part of your day every day. Walking is a good start with a goal of moving 5 miles a day. Get a pedometer (there are many models) I use fitbit but here is a…

running: required - heart, ability to breath, and legs. running 5K required ability to walk/run 3.14 miles or there about depending on who measured your course, heart, ability to breath, and legs. No one will require you to finish the course in less time then you do. Therefore jumping jacks and other cardio will suffice to…

GO...no motivation...just go. Motivation is for during the really difficult...workouts are required so I go.

Yes I do. It is the same as doing a good job... I get a raise, a bonus, or similar if I do a good job. Hollywood gives out awards to everyone. Sports teams give out awards. So it is time for us to reward ourselves also for good things we have done in our lives.

Been all of them at one point in life...including one you failed to mention widower. But is this truly important to who I am as a person?

Start slow in speed and low in distance and add as you feel comfortable. Don't push yourself beyond what your body can do...part of running is learning to listen to the body and recognize the difference between a mental block and a physical block. When I see people out running I always give them a thumbs up...be encouraged…

And now for the killer argument...100% of the people who do not eat fast food will die too.

I am so screwed but yes already signed up and paid for in Jun of this year. I am adding weights to the running I do. So went to bodybuilding.com and got a workout from there. I have been a gym rat for 7 years now and unfortunately it happens every year this time. Instead of being irritated for having my routine disturbed I try helping people out a little. Educate them correct gym behavior and when I see them I think to myself there am I except for.... Because truth is these are people like you…

I resume normal ops, do not punish myself, I am adult I will fail on occasion but this is a lifestyle change and in the end my life is different. So lost battle but war is won. Also I tend to exercise 3 to 5 times a week so if I over eat the next day's run is a little longer.

You assume skinny people eat all day long and stay skinny. So as the father of two skinny children, one who is now a skinny adult I can state for those two your assumption is wrong. They worry about eating to much and are always asking if they are eating like a pig. They do not eat like a pig accept on occasion and then…

Don't look to me I paid for grad school by not eating often so lost all kinds of weight...Christmas they tried to fatten me up but I just was not hungry so often. So I ate well, loaded my plate took to kitchen and put some of it in the fridge for later so I would not get sick by eating to much. later often turned into the…

Looks to me like you got what you wanted...he left. No you are mad because if followed your demand he left because what you really meant to say was..."it is over maybe let me think about it" Consequences...he has his and you got yours. End of story and relationship move on. lessons learned: 1. be careful what you wish for…

See doctor...do not self medicate...make certain it is a running doctor or one who has a lot of runners for experience...(runners are crazy so we need special attention)...no seriously running as a way of life is different and non-runners sometimes do not understand....so see doctor with experience...nipped in bud saves…

such angst....keep it private and allow others to deal without the pejorative word which already describes what you think of others who start with Santa and end up with giving gifts is good.

sweat in my eyes...but also 1. People sitting (do nothing) talking on a machine and getting the evil eye when you ask politely to work in. 2. People finishing a set and then sitting there resting for the next set...get up, some one else can use the machine while you are at rest. I promise to wipe it down after I finish…
