That is a lot to put on two kids so fast. You guys haven't been together that long and this is a big uproar to change the lives of both kids so drastically so soon. She's been through a lot. You guys need to slow down. Don't rush her. You are the intruder on her life. You need to work through this on her timeline, not…

POOR KID! But seriously, he's a normal healthy kid. Some kids are husky. People should really stop trying to micromanage other people's children.

If someone is intentionally force feeding their small child into morbid obesity, chances are there are other things that may warrant CSD intervention.

Been there. I had to leave the hospital after giving birth to my daughter and go right to the bank to beg for an overdraft fee refund. Times get tough. Things happen. People believe that just because you're well off now, you always will be. I'm glad I no longer have to do that but it happens.

Wait, what happens to the parents that feed their kids pure junk but the kids aren't fat???
-
No, you didn't. I also asked in another post how you would combat the funding issues, the overcrowding issues within the system, and don't forget, the Constitutional issues.
-
So all you have is a head full of opinions and no ideas or plans. Very wise of you.
-
Avoiding my question? For someone with so many answers, you certainly don't seem to have any.
-
Since no one has answered my question, I will ask you. In order to make people do something, there must be incentive or repercussions. What do YOU think we should do to hold parents accountable? Because if you can't hold them accountable, there is no deterrent for the behavior, ie speeding tickets deter speeding in some…

There are not enough "boom"s for this post.

So let me ask this: over feeding your child is child abuse IF they become obese. Child abuse is a crime. How do you correct the issue? Remove the child? In my county we have children services workers each will case loads close to 200 families each. In order to combat the issue of child abuse and obesity, more workers will…

You are reaching with the 140lbs comment. What is the age and height of said child you are speaking of? My child is five and underweight for her age, yet tall and healthy. So as she is technically underweight, I must starve her correct? Which is legitimate abuse. You are reaching for a line in the sand as to at which…

I work for juvenile court and closely with CSD. Let me tell you something....you don't know the first thing about child abuse.

Awww yay for the fat kitties! And fat kiddies.
-
I have the same issue on weekends. My gym closes early and all of my homework is due on weekends. I prefer to get everything done first and then hit the gym but the hours are off.
-
I am right where you are. I seem to do this most weekends. I figure, I can work each weekend on staying a little more on track than the previous. It's baby steps. It's a process. You just get up and fix yourself on Monday and start over.

He didn't say anything even close to that.

I'm white but I go tanning. Can I join?

Quoted because Dean.

Wow, you just have all the odds against you, huh?

Mmm, peanut butter.

That's what I do. Because I hate cooking it all the time.

That's like my friend who says "I can't go on a diet because I can't afford the food". If you can't afford to take care of your body, change your lifestyle.
-
Then either change your lifestyle or stop making excuses.

Today I had some grilled salmon and broccoli with Frank's Red Hot Sweet Chili sauce.

It's just cheese. It's not like you just sucked out the filling of 1,000 twinkies for breakfast.
