I'm not exactly a bodybuilder, but I lift and enjoy it. Many women here do.

Well, my butt wasn't a pancake. It was however sad, a little lumpy, and slightly square. You just need to be patient and keep working. This is what 1 year of strength did. Picture is old, but still relevant me thinks:

Why not just use toasted wheat bread? (real question) 1 slice of bread is nearly the same calorie count as 2 rice cakes, and way more delicious.

I really love ashtanga because it's deeply structured and one of the most physically challenging. I enjoy the meditative aspects, and find it's a nice addition to my usual strength routine. Vinyassa is fun too, I like how fluid it can be.

Well, this thread was properly terrifying.

Are you sure you're not projecting? It's easy to feel like you're being judged when you're uncomfortable and over analyzing what everyone else is doing. Keep it up and the novelty of "new woman in weight room" will wear off. Plus, be prepared for people to look at you. It's common courtesy to be aware of the people around…

That's a really great rate of loss!! It might feel slow to you, but it's a desirable rate. Keep doing your thing, and you'll be there by the New Year. Congrats on the 69 pounds. That's incredible.

Carnitas are made made slowly cooking park in rendered fat (lard) until the outer is crispy and the inner is tender. Probably the highest calorie option, also my favorite! Oh gawd, so hungry now. Just enjoy the meal and get what you want!

I would definitely do the steak, a side of mashed potatoes and the cheesecake to finish. Or maybe the garlic pasta Or maybe the sun dried tomato pasta.....hmmm...I see your dilemma.

You might have a particularly spicy poop, but I suspect you gon' live.

Yep. This too. Google tells me it's around 300 calories for a typical slice.

I just make mini pizza on pita bread. It's usually less than 300 calories. http://happygoodtime.com/2011/10/27/guilt-free-pita-pizza-with-mushrooms-spinach-and-goat-cheese/ Of course...I eat 2 or 3 of them. =)

It would help if you made your diary public, otherwise we're shooting in the dark.

Start: 4 Current: 2/8 Goal: 9 Opposite sex: 3-25. I'm super active. I need someone who can keep up with me.

Not BS, and I say 8 months because that's how long I've been doing a proper progressive loading program. I have been athletic my entire 30 years of life however, so not exactly starting from zero. I was at 135 my first time in the rack after form was established. That was my starting point. I guess I should have clarified…

I'm 115ish and 5'1" These are 5x8: Bench: 100 (just got there last week, woohoo!) Squat: 245 is my working weight, but my PR is 275 Deadlift: 185 (my grip is terrible)

One thing that works for me is planning all of my meals around one main ingredient. I live in Los Angeles, where food is very expensive comparatively. We still can find whole chickens on sale for 79 cents a pound. I stock up and freeze them. Here would be my week with a whole chicken for example: Day 1: whole roasted…

I have a jawbone Up, and honestly don't find it to be useful. The sleep tracking part isn't accurate, and plugging it in to see your steps is frustrating. It would be better to see a running tally so you know when to move more.

It could be possible that you are projecting your insecurities onto them. If that's the case, you have to find the answers within yourself.

I'm just a typical stronglifts devotee with some accessory stuff thrown in here and there =)

Thanks, lol. It's a lazy lion costume, thus I didn't submit :p

Awesome!

She has recently confessed to having a pretty severe eating disorder, so best to keep that in mind when considering the validity of her nutritional advice.

What if they are also from New York? *mindblown.gif*

I always get "cute" but I'm small and dorky, so I get it. I like the bad@$$ vixen look, personally >:)

Whoa. WHOA. You can make a custom entry, or choose something similar like circuit training.
