  • Did you feed off a flower person and spend the next six hours watching your hand move? Wait, that's just vampires. I assume you're not a vampire, I better check your diary.
  • I'm a beginner and learned a lot already through classes. See if a yoga studio around you has a "basics" class or beginner's workshop where they break down poses. I benefited from taking a 2 hour Yoga 101 workshop and having a class where I was the only person who showed up on a Friday night and it was basically a private…
  • Mediocre at best? Sigh, it's not a rating scale. It doesn't go mediocrity, mediocre, medio. Your sentence did not make sense since a person can be flying their freak flag and still lack any actual accomplishments OR they could be completely normal and super accomplished. Entomology of words? The study of insects of words?
  • This would be easier to do, if you would embrace the grammar of the English language. Is this how you write at work?
  • I think you mean "land of mundanity". Mundane: boring, ordinary, expected. Mediocre: poor quality, lack of accomplishment or skill. "He was a mediocre violin player."
  • Yes, but are you capable of using ellipses correctly? Because honestly the way you type with these disjointed statements makes you sound like you're high as a kite.
  • Toss it out? (hate gin)
  • Feel better OP. Sinus infections suck.
  • How well are you sleeping? Are you getting 8 hours? Do you wake up during the night? Does anything hurt when you wake up?
  • I'm imagining someone's face as I pour my Grey Goose over Peeps.
  • Why? What do you have against cucumbers, carrots, green beans, hicama, and radishes?
  • We are really happy with Blue Apron. The portion size is big enough to split some dishes into thirds (or if it's something like sandwiches, keep part of the side back for a lunch the next day). One can switch back and forth between 2 person and 4 person meals (but you can't mix them together in the same delivery). The…
  • No matter what you take, if you eat non-stop while sitting in a car, that's not great. Bringing food will just make that worse. You might want to pack lollipops, gum, peppermints, etc to drop the snacking. Bottled water as well. I would pick items that are low cal and take a while to eat, since it sounds like you are…
  • I have to eat while packing lunches and making sure the kid gets ready for school. So turkey sausage links, half a grapefruit, and usually some bar (Fiber One, Belvita) I can have in the car.
  • Have a nice big cup of coffee.
  • Whenever you start a new class you should talk to the instructor and tell him/her about your fitness level and ability. The instructor will be able to give you modifications you can make to the exercises in class (for example side steps without jumping when everyone else is doing jumping jacks with a medicine ball) or give…
  • There is now Reese's whipped cream.
  • Give yourself some rules to follow and plan your splurges a bit. This will help with weight gain AND your wallet. For example if I was going back to Disneyland (for the umpteenth time) these would be my rules: 1. At the hotel breakfast I will eat the items and quantities I would at home. 2. If we are eating somewhere we…
  • Drink lots and lots of water. Insane amounts. Your body will want to eat like crazy, make sure you pick healthy & bulky foods (fruits, veggies, beans, oatmeal). Breastfeeding with proper food choices will burn a lot of calories. Right now what you need most is rest. Congrats!
  • Disagreeing with the crowd here. I would like to see naturally occurring sugar separated out from added sugar. If someone was trying to cut their sugar intake, it's the added sugar that would be targeted and tracked. I eat a lot of fresh fruit and see red in sugar over and over again. I'm not gorging on candy bars, I'm…
  • Nope, not required to buy. Of course then you don't get stats or see yourself on the screen. They do rent their monitors and provide one free for the first class.
  • Yes I wish they supported other chest/arm straps as long as they met certain requirements. I didn't have a dedicated heart rate monitor, just an apple watch, so it wasn't an issue for me.
  • OTF also has an unofficial reddit (r/orangetheory). It's pretty active and both members and trainers post.
  • To add on to what Running_and_Coffee said. You will be assigned a treadmill, water rowing machine, and weight station. Your station includes a bench, bosu ball, dumbbells, TRX straps, ab dolly, etc. There are also medicine balls. The exercises and reps you should do during that set will be on the screen along with the…
  • As someone else mentioned they have a couple other machines for people recovering from injuries. You don't have to run, if you are on the treadmill the trainer gives instructions for running, jogging, and power walking (at a much steeper incline). I'm still at walking.
  • I like it for a few reasons. 1) They have a pretty upbeat attitude and aren't in your face about your performance 2) Paying per class and being charged for no-shows keeps me from flaking out 3) They do try to build community in their groups with various events throughout the year and extra things outside the gym. Last…
  • I'm a newer member and didn't hear a single claim about afterburn during my tour/orientation, signup, or in my classes or materials. They may have dropped that focus in their marketing since I only see a couple single sentence references on their website.
  • I would definitely wash your wash after every workout. One reason I was breaking out was my skin was dry and trying to compensate. In addition to upping my water intake, I started using a night time moisturizer that was recommended by my esthetician. That made a big difference.

  • Yes and no. I haven't completely eliminated any food besides lattes (which is a temporary thing also related to headaches). But there are definitely foods that went from frequent ingestion to very rare and in much smaller quantities. I took my son to Starbucks for our regular weekly visit before his OT and while he had his…
  • The other possibility is you aren't pooping right now. If you're lower intestines have slowed down in response to your cycle, that could also cause the uptick. I hated, hated my periods. I would get so ill. If I could hug my Mirena I would.
