It's just an algorithm. As you lose more weight, your body doesn't need as many calories, so MFP adjusts your intake numbers accordingly.

BudgetBytes is an INCREDIBLE resource!!! There is a complete vegetarian/vegan section, and a lot of her recipes can be altered to make them vegetarian/vegan. The Black Bean and Avocado enchiladas are out of this world, and the White Chicken Chili is so darn good - just replace the chicken broth with veg broth and the real…

Gosh, I wish I had the energy to plant and maintain and garden! I have always wanted one and I LOVE the idea of growing my own veg, but I'm not a gardener...I'll spend one Saturday really getting into it and planting, but then I'll forget to water it, I hate going out and weeding, we don't eat as many veggies as grow in…

Plain Greek yogurt with a scoop or half a scoop of chocolate protein powder. Plain oatmeal with protein powder. Greek yogurt and fruit. One Eggo with peanut butter and a glass of OJ. Special K Protein cereal with soy or almond milk. Um...that's all I got that are eggless. Super quick and easy, tasty, and all under 300…

This. Also add egg whites (or whole eggs), cottage cheese, veggie burgers (just make sure you check the sodium content), hard cheeses, etc in addition to what @CharlieBeansmomTracey listed.

As long as you have a healthy liver and at least one healthy kidney, you don't need to do anything special to "detox" your body. That's what your liver and kidneys are for. The only time I have ever heard a doctor recommend "water only" for a long stretch of time is before you have surgery, but that's usually over a period…

Step 1: Open container. Step 2: Get spoon. Step 3: Shovel into open mouth. I LOVE cottage cheese.

I love the Body Sculpting Bible for Women. It's got different programs for your different levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and for different goals (toning, strength/power, bulking for shows). It also has different exercises adapted to your equipment - if you have a home gym or a full gamut of equipment at a fancy…

I love the Body Sculpting Bible.

Running is 90% a mental activity. It doesn't matter how much you weigh; if you start out thinking about how much it will hurt and suck, then it will hurt. And suck. But if you start your run with an open mind and let your body do what it can without setting expectations, you'll be happily surprised at what you can…

Discipline, discipline, discipline. Find a plan you like and STICK TO IT. You can lose 30lbs in 5 months (6lbs a month, about 1.5lbs a week) safely, but if you're not grossly overweight (and it seems like you're not), it's going to take a LOT of effort, determination, and DISCIPLINE to lose those pounds. Definitely…

We go out once or twice a week. As long as we stay within our healthy range of activities for the rest of the week, it's okay to splurge a little here and there. Just don't make it a habit and you'll be fine.

^This. I did a light breakfast this morning, going for a run here in a little bit, will do a protein shake and a light lunch, then go moderate on whatever is at my friend's party. Chips and salsa-mole, pizza, and booze. Yes, yes, and yes.

Log it, save it, sigh a little, and move on. The next day I'll focus on more water, more veg, more exercise, but that's about it. We all overindulge sometimes, but don't beat yourself up for going over one day out of seven. Stop thinking of food and exercise as forms of punishment

I love the Body Sculpting Bible for Women books; the original is awesome. I have a set of dumbbells and a weight bench at home, so I can workout at any time without going to the gym, but it's really easy to follow at the gym as well. I like to alternate strength and cardio days, sometimes combine. Just find what works for…

Sugar and caffeine are just as addictive as drugs and alcohol. Seriously. Once you've trained your brain and body to consume them regularly and you've gotten used to the sugar high and caffeine rush, it's just like breaking a drug habit to get it to stop. If you've ever met a serious caffeine addict trying to give it up,…

Right now, I'm doing walking, interval running, spin class, and yoga. I just re-introduced weight training yesterday (and I LOVE IT!). Cardio helps the pounds come off, but I've found over 15 years of THE STRUGGLE, nothing changes my body like strength training. It doesn't burn the calories that cardio does, but if you…

Add spices to spice it up! Seasonings and flavorings (olive oil and sriracha and dressing, oh my!). Also, eat what you want, just in moderation. Make smart swaps and smart choices and you'll be satisfied and happy and healthy :)

Good for you! I did dry January because I was drinking every week day and getting drunk on the weekends. It was taking up my calories, plus I get snacky and out of control around food (cheese and bread!) when I'm drinking, and going out was getting really expensive. After taking a few weeks off, my husband and I split a…

Eggs, cottage cheese, veggie burgers, beans, tofu, lentils, Greek yogurt...all high protein, low fat (read the labels!), and low carb (again...read the labels).

Balance and moderation are the keys to success if you want to lose weight. Have a bagel! Have some sushi! Just watch your calorie intake and drink lots of water and you'll be great.

You can add me - I'm pescetarian, open diary to friends. 4-5 days a week vegetarian.

Get the dark stuff! Less fat, more cocao, more delicious :)

I'm a pescetarian, but I live the veggie life 4-5 days a week.

Veggie burgers by MorningStar and Boca are easy in the microwave. Boiling sweet potatoes takes about ten minutes (then drain them and add whatever seasonings you want). Find a good vegetarian/vegan protein powder and mix it with soy or almond milk for a protein shake. I'm trying to think of other things I eat without…

I love making mashed sweet potatoes: Cut them into chunks and boil them. Drain and cool slightly. Add to food processor with some veggie broth, sour cream (use low-fat or fat-free if you want), red pepper flakes, salt, and whatever spices you like... Last night, I boiled 1-inch cubes and instead of mashing them, I just…

I like Good Food Made Simple brand frozen egg white patties (35 calories per piece, ingredients are egg whites, whole milk, non-GMO corn starch, sea salt, and pepper. 6g protein, less than 1g fat, 2g carbs). Pop it in the microwave for one minute and toast ONE Eggo waffle (or store-brand eggo substitute, 90 calories). Half…

I've noticed that, too. Just now, I scanned a new pasta sauce that I haven't logged before and it was off by 20 calories. I just made a new one.

Weights first. Your chances of injury become much higher when you've already fatigued your muscles before weight/strength training, plus if you're too tired to do the exercises properly, then you won't be getting the benefit from strength training in the first place.
