Hey Christy! There are quite a few bride-to-be's on here looking to trim down that last couple of pounds, myself included. I have until 5 August to shed it all off. Add me if you'd like & good luck with the half marathon :o)

Special K Protein Plus is awesome, lower in sugar and still tastes awesome... I also like the Kashi go lean (not the go Lean crunch, just the regular one) and the Kashi Heart to Heart.

Protein shakes are very good for you if you are working out. They will not make you gain weight unless you are using them to supplement your daily intake. If you include them into your diary and daily calorie goals they are a great source of protein and really good way to get your nutrients post-workout. I also would just…

I hate clutter so I usually am on top of everything BUT when things do start to pile up: I separate into smaller like piles that are more manageable (garbage, file, magazines, ect) then handle each of the smaller piles appropriately. Creates small victories when you handle each type of clutter LOL Good Luck!!

Start now! The great thing about protein is that it helps to keep you fuller longer!

Swim!

If I am hungry, I eat them. If I can live without them, I try not to.

Workout! Honestly you never regret working out, only not working out....even if its a quick 20 minute cicuit with sit ups, push ups, lunges, squats and burpees, you'll feel better afterward!

Well put Angechilada! I always though that fruit sugar and processed sugar were different and didn't really pay attention...then realized I wasn't losing weight. I started cutting down my sugar to the recommended 32g a day (plus if I earn any back) and shed 4 pounds in 4 weeks (I'm looking to shed that last 10 pounds, well…

I eat what I want in moderation and ensure that 6 days a week I do not bust my goals BUT I do allow myself 1 cheat meal each week, usually on Saturdays. It's the once a week that I go out to eat and dont feel guilty if my numbers bust by a bit for it....it gives me a meal to look forward to each week and keeps me healthier…

I added it as a personal exercise and log it that way. I am pretty good at judging the amount of calories I burn so it's worked. Most people that I know that do it log it as "circuit training-general" for 20-25 minutes pendent on if you include the stretch!

No, not really an issue, the default on this site is a bit high...I usually try to stay around 1500mg but try to never go over 2000mg a day.
-
Do you track your sugar and sodium intake? If these are too high they can really derail weight loss...especially sugar! I am a firm believer that the sugar in fruit counts just as much as the processed stuff as well....

We get it in the Commissary here, I love PB2. My fiance and I tried it out of curiosity and now there is not turning back. It tastes like natural peanut butter (not sweet like JIF and Skippy) AND its not all oily like regular natural peanut butter. Definitely worth trying!

I started yesterday too and LOVED when she said that the knees and hip rolls made her feel like an idiot. I can't wait to get home and do day 2! So excited to see what I'm looking like in 30 days :o) Good luck with it!

Be honest with yourself, down to every crouton that you eat--keep that journal 100% and if you have a bad day, chalk it up to a bad day don't let it get you off track. Every day is a chance to do well!

Congrats, that is awesome! I am starting her 30 Day Shred tonight....I hear that all of Jillians workouts are meant to kick your butt!

Well I can tell you for sure that the plain dry oatmeal is 150 calories for 1/2 cup. I eat this every morning and usually throw some strawberries in there. I just heat it up with water (no milk), which doesnt add calories. The bowl is quite a bit more full after the oats cook through, leaves me full and lowers cholesterol!…

Do a small 30 minute circuit-- get some jumping jacks, lunges and burpees in for cardio...do some crunches and oblique work, push ups and planks work the whole body, some different squats and wall sits for your legs and just mix it up. I sometimes will just pick out 6 workouts and do them for 1 minute each 5 times to get a…

Throw some Tilapia in a pan with a tsp of olive oil and some salt free seasoning, cook for about 3 minutes per side and eat with a salad. I also cook a huge pot of brown rice on Sunday and just eat 1/2 cup reheated with my dinners usually, having it done makes my meals take about 8 minutes from fridge to plate :o)

Getting married in August and sooooo excited!

No Yuengling in CA either, oh how I miss NY!

Agreed, if I have a long day and 170 calories and carbs left, I am grabbing myself a Fat Tire. As long as it's not an everyday habit & your not sacraficing eating certain nutrients just to drink beer, I think it's fine!
-
So I was definitely one that always thought that added sugars and natural sugars are different and that this was added sugars BUT finally after about 3 weeks of meeting every other number and only going over on sugar and protein with no weight loss I decided starting last week to try and cut the sugar down to 32g. That…

I also concur on the almond milk! I do not drink milk at all (and never have) and the almond milk is pretty good with a chocolate shake. I really like the premium protein brand that you can get in costco (they also started selling 3 packs of almond mild for $7 here recently), I think it is the best flavor and nutrients if…

It's a workout program that lasts for 60 days. You work out 6 days a week for 30 minutes for the first month and then the workouts increase to 45 minutes in the second month. You get one day off a week throughout the whole program. The workouts don't require any equipment but you should be prepared for tons of jumping,…

Same here, I got a cheap one from Target I want to say and I didn't get the digital version, I have a regular one and it works great. I had a digital one for a while and after about 7 months it started to be a little inaccurate. Been using this spring one for about a year now and love it, especially for the $8 I paid for…

If the scale isn't going down maybe you need to look at the types of calories you eat and the workout routine you are one...changing that up can definitely help with kick starting the weight loss again. You can do it, obvisouly you care enough to be tracking so keep up the hard work & you'll get there!

Hey, this website is super easy and has a great food database...I also am a huge fan of the app on my iPhone, makes it so easy to enter EVERYTHING that I eat. I joined about a month ago--I have had a healthy diet for years now, but felt myself cheating more and more and wanted to hold myself accountable again. I can say…
