  • Take the bread out and up your protein and get some good healthy fats in there, they keep you fuller longer.
  • For cold weather to cover my ears: Lulu Lemon "Run with Me" ($32) http://shop.lululemon.com/products/clothes-accessories/headwear-headbands/Run-With-Me-Ear-Warmer?cc=9948&skuId=3520991&catId=headwear-headbands For Warm Weather just to keep it all out of my face: Thick: Lucy "Power Training Headband" ($10)…
  • Another crossfitter I work with came up with this idea and I modified it a bit but a "12 Days of Christmas WOD". Perform just like the song: 1- Burpees 2- 10m Sprints 3- Push Ups 4- Jumping Jacks 5- Air Squats 6- Sit Ups 7- Mountain Climbers 8- Lunges 9- Broad Jumps 10- Double Unders 11- 1 Min Plank (only one needed) 12-…
  • So we invested in the Blendtec, similar to the Vitamix and I will say it is awesome and we use it daily. My husband makes his protein shake smoothies daily. I also use the smaller attachment and make guacamole several times a week to put with anything/everything and we use it daily as a juicer. Just some water, kale and a…
  • I still get that anxious feeling sometimes when I know there are parts of a WOD that I need work on (which is pretty much everything)! Use progressive exercises where they are needed and just give it 100%. Remember that form is more important than time/weight/reps....Everyone was a newbie at one point and everyone is there…
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/2 apple chopped up with some cinnamon, with a decaf breakfast tea and a bottle of water...mMm delicious!
  • I pack leftovers from the previous nights dinner (about 4 oz of protein and a half a cup of a carb) and a peice of fruit. We have a microwave so I just reheat whatever I ate the night before--Today is steak and a half a cup of mashed potato with an apple!
  • Sounds like pretty much the same thing. I buy the Spectra organic coconut oil and it comes in a jar but it is hard white substance that I have to "dig" out of the jar. Can't say 100%, but it does sound like it looks the same :o)
  • Day 4*, sorry got cut out somehow!

  • I just finished up Stage 1, Day for of NROL, it was an awesome read and so far I am loving the program. I am very sore today but I feel awesome. I really like the 3 days a week that this first stage is and I even got to add a little weight yesterday, which felt great. I am not too far into the program so I can't give you…

  • Read: New Rules of Lifting for Women...exact plans and pictures/descriptions of proper form for exercises provided. Great book!
  • Avocado Pesto...add some fresh basil, little bit of olive oil, clove of garlic, salt and pepper, throw it all in the food processor...warms up with some whole wheat pasta added to a bowl and is delicious!
  • We must have posted at the same time, you have great hair!
  • Jamie Eason's Recipe for Cinnamon Swirl Protein Bread....http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jamie-easons-livefit-recipes-cinnamon-swirl-protein-bread.html so delicious, my afternoon snack daily :o)
  • Agreed skinnytaste.com is awesome! Also, www.thegraciouspantry.com great clean eating delicious recipes :o)
  • Ripped in 30 is great! I too did 30DS first and then did the Ripped in 30. The Ripped in 30 was a little better, I thought because you are only doing the same exercise for one week versus 10 days AND you get a day off. Also, in 30DS you were doing 2 strength moves, one for 1min another for 30 seconds and then you repeated…
  • I've been on the pill for 7 years now & yes initially I did gain BUT after about 3 months and being put on the "Lo" version on my BCP I regulated out and was able to start losing all that weight...It all came off in about 6 weeks (15 pounds). Good Luck!
  • I'm 5'7" and I started at 150, with MFP at 144 and was down and maintaining at 129 before the holidays & moving cross country...now I am sitting at 132... it's very realistic!
  • Don't be afraid of weights, you'd have to be lifting pretty heavy to "bulk up". I'd say some weights, planks and push ups....these will all help you tone everything up and shed the inches covering the muscles :o)
  • I like the clutch at a party idea, especially with the holidays coming up....I've been looking for a reason to get a new purse ;-)
  • Oh and I just did the math...that's 16 8oz glasses a day....my nalgene is about to get a workout!
  • Starting weight: 129.2
  • It was super hard for me at first too, I basically cut out almost all dairy--I eat cheese, some greek yogurt (only the plain 0% and add fresh berries or some truvia) and then I cut my fruit to 2 servings a day. Usually I eat 5-8 strawberries with oatmeal (plain) in the morning and then a peice of fruit with my lunch. A lot…
  • It doesn't look like you're eating enough, especially if you are excercising. This all is 1150, I would add a carb as a side for lunch and/or dinner...some brown rice or sweet potato or something along those lines. Maybe a protein shake to up the protein and calories for the day? Also, muscle gain is going to offset weight…
  • Just turned 25, got married in August....finished college at 21, been on my own working, put myself through grad school and living life since then...I love fitness, anything outside, travelling all over and and being an "old soul". No kids right now, want to enjoy being married for a couple years first, just us and the dog…
  • I am in the gym all the time, my husband and I go at least 5 times a week (if not 6-7). No one is judging you, actually I think it's awesome to see anyone in the gym who is just trying to make themselves healthier and putting in the effort to lose weight/build muscle/maintain. Trust me this is what 99% of the people at the…
  • I like the Kashi honey almond flax ones--whole grains, natural sugar (but still only 7 grams, so I can budget it in), healthy fats, and a decent size so I don't finish and say "hmm what's next?" LOL
  • I think 200 calories is fine, the only thing that I would check is to make sure there is not too much sugar in the bar :o/
  • I would log all 5 TBSP as well. Also, in Bed Bath and Beyond they sell this thing called the Misto for $10....basically you put fresh olive oil in the bottle and then pump the top and it builds up pressure so that the olive oil sprays like Pam. I started to use it when I moved to cooking with stainless steel pots & pans…
