  • I upped by 100 daily cals every week until I found the level at which I could maintain and not gain. In my case I had lost 35 lbs in 2015. I am now 66 , 5ft 4 and 133 lbs and maintain on 1550 calories . I allow myself a fluctuation of up to 4-5 lbs before I take action.
  • Re assess your calorie allowance on a different BMI calorie calculator as the one on mfp is very stingy and too low at the beginning. In the UK the best bmi checker is the national health service "NHS Bmi Calculator". https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-weight/bmi-calculator/ Start eating towards the top of your…
  • Ive just experienced the same effect after a back injury that required strong pain relief, codeine and diazapam. Was alarmed to gain weight even though I lost my appetite, ate less than my maitenance calories, and felt drowsy so slept more. In 8 days i gained 5 lbs , well over my happy weight. I was also constipated from…
  • I lost 35 pounds in 2014/15, and since been maintaining within 0-5 lbs . I only twice hit that maximum 5lbs , once was this month after a heavy carb and sodium weekend (pizza, beer and chinese takeaway !). • Thanks billiejaime, not giving up yet!
  • Worlwide pals always welcome, thankyou!
