It's great that you've used varying tools to your advantage. A brilliant and healthy change!

I use the Piggy Bank Method© ( ;) ) because, quite simply, I can't deal with being in the red some days but being under my allowance other days. It somehow feels like I'm failing and doesn't sit well with my weight loss ethos. I quite often 'borrow" from the day ahead (maximum of 200-300 calories) or take from any "under…

And that's exactly how I sleep! I'll try the pillow tonight for research and pain relieving purposes! :) Oh, and my thighs are still fat but I have less stomach so maybe I'm 'dipping' in the middle when I lie on my front causing the pressure on my hips and back? Just a thought anyway!x

I'm sorry for your pain but I am SO glad you posted this. I'm having the exact same issue at the moment and had started to wonder if I was doing something wrong while lifting weights at the gym which would cause the back pain. Then I realised it was only when I got up in the morning. New sleeping position required! (Only…

@xcalygrl and @icemaiden37 are both spot on! I started lifting and my weight loss scale number has completely stalled. However I'm down numerous inches. It's tough to get your head around, when MFP initially seems all about weight loss, but there are so many other ways to measure fitness. :) Edited for poor grammar!

Well done! Your skin looks like it has a real glow now too. :)

If I knew you, but hadn't seen you for a long time, I reckon I'd walk right past you! What a change! Seriously well done. <3

Just to add to the comments above, another MFPer explained fat loss well in another thread. Think of the fat as being like butter spread over your body; it can be coming off of lots of places but you may not see it immediately. Progress photos and trying on trousers that have maybe been a bit tight are a good indicator…

Congratulations! I'm glad I favourited this post. :)

I downloaded the FitBit app to my mobile and it effectively becomes the step monitor and gives you your calorie burn for the day. You can also add in any exercise and map walks. I have problems with the app syncing to MFP so sometimes have to just make notes in the exercise section of my MFP diary to explain any days where…

Beautiful and very impressive. :)

Every word of this. <3

I read the blurb for each and I surmise: Eat less, eat better to feel fuller and look for support from a group while trying to lose weight. So pretty much use MFP then?! :D
-
@VintageFeline your new shape is so beautiful and it's nice to hear about the health benefits too. :) @Wolfy34 Yes. :) I weigh myself in stones and pounds, log my weight only in pounds on MFP and weigh my food on the scales in grams. Old recipes often use fluid ounces or pints instead of millilitres and ounces instead of…

Again, you're thinking the exact same worries that I'm fighting with just now so I really do feel for you. How about filling in the body measurements on the MFP app so you'll see a downward trend there? I hadn't actually considered this for myself until I wrote this post! :D

Everything you have written could have been written by me (except the cycling, I walk instead). :) I lost my first 20+ lbs last year by eating at a deficit and walking. I started up again last month after a break and am lifting heavy weights at the gym this time along with eating at a deficit. The scale hasn't budged for…

UK equivalent sizes are 2 sizes 'higher' i.e. a US 18 is a UK 22. :) However, sizes can vary wildly between companies and also between styles within a company. It's a nightmare... :)

@Liftng4Lis Ready Brek is a British thing (albeit I've never eaten it!) http://www.weetabix.co.uk/mobile/brands/readybrek/original @Vixxie75 How about adding some fresh blueberries on top for some sweetness instead? <3

@wrkin9095 I hope at some point you can take the time to re-read your own post, let your achievement sink in and look at how successful you are. Honestly, the result of your hard work and determination is such an accomplishment and I hope the way you view yourself catches up with all the positive changes you've made. <3

I often don't have the concentration to read 'lengthy' posts on MFP but I have read every word of this and it's beautiful. A lot can be learned from your experience - thank you! :)

:o How incredible is this?!

Google the term "Bristol stool chart" and this might help with your 'situation'. :)

@JillyGMoo Here are the 2 articles that @Karyabc might be referring to (they were at the back of my mind as well). There are a lot of other articles too, found simply by searching on the term "wheel chair". Best wishes. ❤ http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10164678/wheelchair-user-130lbs-healthier/p1…

What a change! Excellent work and you must feel better for it! :)

This is my 90 day report and perhaps more importantly shows what happens when I stop logging. I've had a relatively long period of stress and "life getting in the way" however I'm now using my time to try and remedy this and the results are showing. I'm not keen to post my weight numbers (not that anyone else should ever…

3.5 stones = 49lbs. There are 14lbs in a stone. :)

Another gym related one from me... Not sleeping well at the moment but still went to the gym this morning after having 4.5hrs sleep. I'm quite chuffed with that in itself but when I was on the elliptical machine I looked down and it dawned on me that I could only see my "ladies" - there is no stomach sticking out anymore.…

1. Nothing, just trying not to beat myself up if I have some days at maintenance. I try to remind myself that at least it's not a gain and I'm still doing better than the days of not logging at all. 2. I've started lifting weights this time after a lot of advice I've read on MFP. Last time I 'only' walked which actually…

I ate pizza this week from Dominos (in the UK) and I downloaded their nutritional information first and tried to make better choices i.e. thinner base and lower fat cheese. How about using a nutritional information document like that and just do your best to log the closest version to what you're having? I'm consistently…
