I'm in Wk3 of the Ripped in 30. It's definately more intense than the shred, but you'll love it. I'm wishing I had taken my measurements as well - because I defnately feel a difference.

I do midnight to midnight as well. I stay up at least 27hr my first night in....it doesn't throw me off too much. I figure if I'm eating THAT much more on my first night in because I'm up a little longer...I shouldn't be eating that much to begin with!! Midnight to midnight works for me!

I hear you - juggling alot here as well. Feel free to add me - the more support the better!

On my work days, I work out right before work. I find that it actually wakes me up for the overnight and it gets me in a really good routine. On my days off, I work out in the morning (I switch back to a normal sleeping schedule on my days off)

LOL...this gave me a good laugh. There is NO doubt that there are so many confusing and contradictory tid bits of information out there. This is why I get in a major rut with eating - maybe it's the "safe zone phase' where I find a handful of "safe foods" that fit all the required criteria and just eat those over and…

There are a bunch of us on here that work the night shift. I've personally found that planning is a BIG help - to bring just enough food to keep me not hungry and space it out through my shift. Also I don't eat past 3am (I'm out at 6am).

I'm on day 5 of week 2 of the Ripped in 30. I thought I was in pretty good shape until I started this DVD! They are short work outs, but a great variety and work just about every part of your body.

This is the best place to get motivation - make sure you log on regularly and you will find all the support you need! Feel free to add me if youd like!

Don't be discouraged! You have had a HUGE loss in a short time. I have a hard time battling my impatience with the slow progress as well, but if you stay the course - you will see results and make life time changes (rather than quick fixes). Feel free to add me if you'd like!

Newmans Own...Yum!

I've become a big believer in switching things up. Although Jilllians workouts are circuit training type stuff and "different" with in them...it's the same type of exercise. I have been doing her Ripped in 30 - alternating with going to the gym and doing some strength and cardio there. I think switching it up - is really…

I was on the pill for 15yrs or so, stopping to have 2 children. Never had an issue with any negative side effects at all. However, my OB and primary care both wanted me off the pill now that I'm over 35 and my blood pressure seemed to be creeping up. Two months ago I got Mirena, insertion was no big deal - but the HORRIBLE…

Be careful you don't hold yourself to the same standard that you were at long ago. You need to set new goals and standards for yourself that are different than before. Maybe it's taking up a new sport, new type of work out or different type of class. Something tat doesn't allow your mind to play tricks on you! It took you…

This is a great site! There are some really helpful and supportive people on here and you'll find all kinds of motivation along your journey. Welcome!

I joined here because of the very same reason. I need the acountability that this site give me....it has always been really easy to have one bad day then just give up, or to make excuses about the choices that I was making. I've been on MFP for 3+wks and am addicted! My only advice would be to get some supportive friends…

Ohh, very tempting for sure! You may see some quick results from taking them - but they certainly don't do anything for you long term. They "trick" your body into losing weight, rather than re-training your body like you have been doing. You are doing a WONDERFUL job and the amount of weight you have lost is…

You've definately come to the right place! This is a great site for motivation and support. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

I'm pretty new too - but am completely hooked on this site. It's accountability and motivation at it's best! Feel free to add me if you'd like...

It's very easy to talk yourself into being disouraged! You have already seen a loss of weight in the first week, that is awesome....just think of your weight as something tangible you have lost..for example, picture a pound of butter...and then think of it as you imagine you actually SHED that off your body. (or 5lbs as a…

It's great to log on and see others "awake" and struggling w/the same things that working nights create!

I really appreciate all the feedback! There is some great insight here - I guess it comes down to knowing yourself and how you handle/react to things and what your ultimate goals are. I'm going to have to really think about this as I continue on my way. Thanks all, keep the good advice rolling!

I work 8p to 6a and have found my eating schedule one of the hardest things to regulate with this shift. I have found, with a lot of trial and error - that I eat only one meal while I'm working - but save most of my snacks for the overnight. That way I'm not feeling hungry and snacking on bad-stuff while working...and my…
