  • I was forced to take 6 months off from my hard-core training and am just getting back to serious business!!! I have a lot of work to do and NEED some motivation - if any of you hard core down and dirty work out junkies have room on your friends list - I could use the motivation. After time away from MFP many of my friends…
  • Thanks guys...some good tips and information here! I am so stubborn that I hate to think I *can't* do what I want...but now I see that I need a little modification and some moderation. Wish I had this drive back when I was 20....I may not have to work quite so hard now if I did!
  • Thanks everyone! These were some great suggestions and Ill be implementing them starting tomorrow. Its also nice to hear that my experiences are similar to others and that there is hope :) Thanks again!
  • I ask myself this ALL the time! I usually burn 700 to 1000 cals a day and only eat back about half. I do 30 to 45 min circuit training, 30 min straight cardido and 45 min of lifting on a typical day...spread out into a morning and evening workout. I have yet to find the right balance....I've been stuck at the same weight…
  • @manderson27...that's a hilarious picture!!!
  • basic spartan workout: 25 pullups 50 deadlifts (recommend 135lbs, but I do what I can at the moment) 50 pushups 50 box jumps (24") 50 floor sweepers 50 clean and press 25 pullups The idea is that you do these continual. Obviously at the beginning you simply can't unless you are a machine :o) I'm doing Spartan workout on my…
  • Spartan workout day 1 complete. Gotta say - it kicked my *kitten*! If you have done Insanity, then you can do Spartan - it's just a bad *kitten* version of the concepts of Insanity. Almost a cross between Insanity and Crossfit!
  • Great work - keep up the dedication and you'll GET there. Feel free to add me!
  • I put on 15lbs with Mirena in the 3 months following getting it put in. I eat 1200 cals a day and work out burning between 500 to 1000 calories. There is NO other explanation for the gain other than the Mirena. I also have had a long lasting and annoying rash and comes and goes all over my body - also due to the Mirena.…
  • I was hiking at least 2x a week this spring/early summer. I haven been in about a month now due to heat and scheduling..and its killing me!! Im planning a 10mi trip this weekend and hope nothing happens to ruin it. Im jonsing!
  • Something that resprents your journey, dedication aand commitment. Have you decided where on your body yet?

  • I work really strange hours too. 4pm to 2am and sometimes until 6am. I have found the key is to get in a really strict routine of when you eat your meals and your snacks. Rule of thumb is that I try not to eat after 11pm (which is almost 4hs before my bedtime) and I try to eat my "big" meal of the day in the middle of my…
  • I'm also 5'7" and would be happy losing 20lbs - with a lofty goal of 35. I'm in US (Maine) but feel free to add me (I log on every day!)
  • I just did a 7 day juice fast. I don't regret the experience, but can say that you can't go into half assed. You have to be commited and driven to do this with success. It IS a lot of work, expensive and takes a lot of will power. I felt miserable for the first two days - but great after that. I was unable to work out…
  • I finished Ripped in 30 a few weeks ago - I logged it under Circuit Training. Seemed pretty accurate!
  • That makes sense, a typo! Thanks all for the info. Mills187...I'm loving it too. Its hard as HELL - but strangely addictive. Even after 6 days, I feel better/stronger. Looking forward to more results.....
  • Believe it or not - my 5yo and 7yo LOVE doing Jillian Michaels with me! And I have to say - they smoke me every time :o)
  • Let's gooooooooooooooooooo B's!!!
  • I share your frustration. I have been at the same weight for almost 3 week now, even though I have been working out MORE and not diverting from my strict food intake amount or type. I have had a million suggestions on how to break the plateau - but have decided to merely wait it out. I know, logically, that my body can…

  • I've been changing it up with doing a bean-based salad for my main dish. There are a million recipies on line for various types of bean salads - gives you a good dose of protien as well as various veggies etc.
  • Huskies are wonderful dogs, but a bit of a difficult choice for your first dog. They can be pretty stubborn and can be a bit difficult to train at times. They can NEVER be let off leash in an unsecured area - as they have a natural instinct to run, run run, and will do so at the drop of a hat. Unless trained from a very…
  • I think alot of us are in the same boat! I'm a full time working mom (work overnight) and work out every day before work. I"ll send you a friend request now!
