Hello. We are basically the same size with somewhat similar goals. I am 5'10 and 243 lbs, but I only want to get down to about 180-185. I am just beginning my lifestyle change, AGAIN. I would be happy to have someone to share ideas, progress, and recipes with along the way. Every bit of encouragement helps.

You're looking great.

I've lost the weight of an average two year old, and a rack of baby back ribs. I still have the weight of an average newborn to lose.

There is absolutely a difference, and it IS very noticeable. Good job!:flowerforyou:

Hello. I feel your pain. Although I haven't had any weight gain, now that I am down to the final stretch (10lbs) of being within my goal the weight has started coming of soooo s l o w. I used to lose at least two lbs a week, but now it's usually around 1.3 lbs. I exercise more now than I did in the beginning, and I always…

I am 5'91/2 and my goal weight is 180-185. I really don't pay to much attention the weight calculator because I know I don't want to be in the weight range it says I should be in. I am a woman with a large build, but I still want curves.

Congratulations!!! A job VERY well done!!! You look great.:flowerforyou:

For me it's health first, and then there are these jeans I bought last year that were 2 sizes to small (intentionally). I AM determined to wear those jeans "THIS" fall/winter.:drinker:

Welcome, welcome, welcome. I home you enjoy MFP as much as I have been enjoying it. Once you set your goal and stay within you caloric intake, IT WORKS!!!

I'm, 5'91/2 and big boned. I once got down to around 160 and my friends and family actually told me I looked sick. So now when I get back down to around 180-185 I will be satisfied with that.
-
You can gladly add me if you'd like. I love love love MFP. Good luck on your goals.

Is there anyone here who hasn't? I have done it so many times that I've lost count. This time around instead of just dieting and losing weight I'm trying to make my present eating habits a lifestyle change. I am eating healthier, watching my portion sizes, and execising 4 to 5 times a week so hopefully there won't be any…

I'm 5'10 and my ideal weight to me is around 180. That weight puts me in a size 10 comfortably. I don't want to be thin. Some may say 180 is a lot, but I am solid (not flabby), and very active.

I weigh weekly. I used to weigh every morning just to see if what I did the day before (exercise) paid off. I tried not to, but curiousity got the best of me. I once had my daughter to take my scale and hide it in the house and only give it to me on Monday mornings. I can honestly say that by weighing weekly I like the…
