I love this statement! I'm going to use this as my mantra when I get tempted to make poor nutrition choices or get lazy. Keep up the good work.

great progress and great job! Congratulations. This is definitely motivation for me. Keep up the good work.
-
Wow, great job! You can totally see the difference. Keep up the hard work.

No, my TDEE minus 20% is around 1800, but I'm eating way less than that.
-
Awesome! Keep it up

I agree with this. I was going to make the suggestion as well. I have found that moving comfort sports bras are comfortable and keeps the girls in place while I jog, lift, punch whatever. I'm a 36 DDD or a 34 G and these bras work for me. They are a bit on the pricy side $50+, but well worth it.

This seems like such a small thing but its not. It's a HUGE victory. Anytime you can stare your Kryptonite head on and not get weak, not give in, you've won a battle. Hats of to you!

I'm down with the challenge. I haven't had a drink since July 29th. I don't know how long this will go on, but hopefully I can keep it up until I see some real progress in my weight loss. But for now, I'll commit to 2 more weeks!

Yes! I like that determination in your writing. You can do it!

Hi! I love morning workouts I'm usually at the gym at 5am at least 4 times during the work week. Saturdays and Sundays vary, but I like to get it in and get it over with before gyms and parks get too crowded. I'm on EST.

Hooray for you for recognizing your faults and being serious about making a change! Not everyone realizes that they need help or that they need to make a change. The key is to set a clear goal and define what objectives/steps are needed to meet that goal. Try to incorporate change on a rolling basis and not all at once,…

I know that as human beings we always want to see tangible evidence of progress or success. That's why in school grades are given as a way to measure our performance. Nevertheless, in the weight loss game, numbers on the scale aren't always the best measure of progress. For women, I imagine our weight fluctuates much more…

I used a hear rate monitor to measure calories burned. Get a good one where you can actually set your hear rate zones based on a few basic exercises. Timex makes a good one.

Congratulations on your new revelation and your recommitment to a different you. Personally, I think feeling better about yourself is the ultimate goal. Thanks for sharing Frankly, I didn't think anything was going to happen. After a week of implementing it, going a 110% of what was supposed of me by the book, things…

Ok, because of so many that responded regarding how integral a food scale is, I actually went out and bought one just now. I will start using it tomorrow. We'll see...
-
Alright, that's it. Tomorrow after my morning workout I'm going to Bed, Bath and Beyond (I have one of those 20% coupons) to see if they have one of those scales. I will spare no expense...ok, I will, but the point is, I am now convinced that it can be a helpful tool.
-
Thanks for this. I have never done a body composition analysis, but it seems a useful tool.
-
Thanks for the calculations and the food scale suggestion. We'll see how the next 30 days go. Wish me luck.
-
Hey, Thanks for your reply. Do people really use those food scales? Really? I have invested in (another) heart rate monitor to accurate calorie counts. Should I really consider the food scale? If so, any recommendations on good brands?
-
Actually, I was eating around 1300/day, often times less than that
-
Thanks for the links. I hope I will make progress.

I suspect that I may have been eating some calories burned back...something to think about. I'm 5'6, 36 yrs, approx 170lbs, goal is 150lbs.

Thanks. Great idea. I will measure myself for my "recommitment". No, I wasn't using a food scale per se, but I would use measuring cups and scan labels as necessary.
