I have gone through one round of it and am currently doing another with my wife. I would guesstimate a reasonable range would be 200-300 calories for the 25 minute workout portion. Could be lower if you take a lot of breaks (which I doubt you would), but it could also be higher if you push yourself hard.

I personally do not prefer well defined abs, but it also doesn't bother me either.
