  • The best part to me is actually feeling comfortably full (not stuffed!), which I never did spreading calories out over three meals. I think there is something biologically important about the "full" feeling, maybe that is what triggers satisfaction. I don't have cravings anymore, which for me is incredible. I'm eating…
  • From what I've read the issue of excess skin is both genetics and length of time one was heavy, as well as how heavy. Some people have skin that shrinks with them, others don't. Mine seems to be on the shrink side, so it's genetic luck in my case, as well as not being too heavy for too long.
  • I suspect no one is ever completely satisfied with his/her body, especially if been heavy then lost a lot. Based on some something I read about evolutionary development, our worrying, second guessing, waryiness all stem from past experience intended to keep us from repeating scary experieinces agaiin the future--more or…
  • I would recommend the digital. They are much more accurate. If you get the old style (I still have one around) get something with a true weight, like a barbell, or several cans of veggies, and check the weight. Most older models do have an adjustment feature if the weight is off. I like the the scale feedback; so long as…
  • My omad is never more than it was before. I wasn't able to huge amounts of food even before, and when you focus on healthier options you just fill up faster. The sugar-starch junk calories are condensed, so you can consume many more calories than eating chicken and broccoli, and such. I was appalled to learn McDonald's et…
  • Jealousy often emerges as a so called Devil's Advocate, or I-know-the-only-path preachers. Who cares about studies on vinegar; lots of people swear by it, and it is not apt to hurt at 4T in a week. You have accomplished a very rare level of success in your 173lbs weight loss. Three cheers for you!!! Snarks are made not…
  • Good to know your experience. Thanks for the posts! I am in week 4, and still learning my body's responses. My BMs are still too loose, but expect that to settle. At least I am beginning to lose again after long plateau on keto.
  • The main difference is the WD allows for some fruit & veg snacks during the day, so not as clean IF as what OP is doing. I think thr WD is really great for younger, less obese people.
  • "Now that I'm maintaining, I'm at 2,100 to 2,800 calories a day. That fills two to three plates easy. Tonight was about 3,000 calories, mostly protein. I vary my days and still follow my tastes. Eating is serious work now. For the first time in my life, I have to work to tank up and the only time I think about food is…
  • This is the only way I can lose. I tried the cw methods only to get little or no results, plus lots of cravings. Love how this takes away all the thinking about food that the several small meals creates. Real freedom, especially for people in middle age, pre-diabetic, or otherwise metabolically compromised. Thanks for…
