What's the sleep measuring function like @BarbyBW ?
-
Hi Jenny, I agree with previous posters saying everyone struggles and that there are plenty of people who have "been there" and can offer advice on how they got through it. Have you taken your "Before" measurements and photos? I found one of the most motivating factors seeing those scales drop every morning.

I didn't realise he did emails, but with that misogynistic nonsense I don't think we're missing out. (Nonsense wasn't my first choice of word there).
-
There's a difference between not actively supporting and actively undermining. I can't imagine being with someone who deliberately sabotaged my goals.
-
Eating does give you comfort, you just need to look for that comfort elsewhere and only eat for physical hunger.
-
Yeah, I'm like you and I agree with others saying it might be worth looking up "emotional eating". I don't think I've done it once since I joined MFP. It's difficult, but I just want to be healthy and in control more than I want to stick two fingers up at whatever the trigger is.

Good luck with losing weight.

You can leave your partner whenever you want and you don't need to give a reason. How long have you been together? Is this the only problem? How are other aspects of your relationship?
-
I read the Success Stories and idly google "Before and After"s.

In fact, I hear that The Guardian is starting a fan club for Katie Hopkins. And Jan Moir and Richard Littlejohn.
-
Yeah, ok, I concede the British Media are absolutely lapping up Katie Hopkins because the press have so many headlines about her this morning.
-
I would guess that The Independent, for one, isn't exactly "lapping it up".
-
No, they're not. The Daily Mail and some MFP users are.
-
Okay, so I eat out at restaurants/fast food probably 4-5 times a week! How's that worked out for you?

I need to start focusing on my measurements because I'm not going to get anywhere worrying about the bathroom scales... Height: 5ft 6 Weight: 9st 6 (132lb) Thigh: 57 Hip (widest point): 98 Belly (widest point): 85 Waist (narrowest): 74 Upper arm: 29 Under bust: 78 Bust: 87 Some have gone up and down by one or two…

What kind of things do you like to eat?
-
Yep, do you have a fridge? What do you mean by hot plate? Is it what I would understand by a hob or gas ring?
-
Daily Mail? Katie Hopkins? Christ.

My target was about half a stone what I'd been in my twenties as I didn't want to be quite that thin. I think this was a good goal as I ended up the same dress size as back then. So you've got three options, 1) Continue as you are and lose another 5lb. 2) Find your maintenance, maintain for a couple of months and then…

When you've reached your target.

I wasn't really feeling it today. It felt a bit like a chore. squats 5,6,5,6,5 @ 112lb ohp 5,5,5,5,5 @ 46lb (this was a deload but still difficult). deadlift 5 @ 150.5lb (going to deload this next time). I also added some core and abs exercises before my stretches, using the suggestions at the top of this forum. Not really…

About the All Bran, do you eat it dry?

You will get lots of advice to lift heavy weights straight away. This didn't work for me. I'd been losing 2lb steadily each week for weeks and I couldn't handle the stall that occurred when I started lifting. Also, at a deficit I just didn't have it in me to lift successfully. I gave up and went back to the cardio only…

Stronglifts 5x5 here too. I highly recommend the group for women here too, full of supportive and knowledgeable women.

Hi Melly, I lost a similar amount of weight this year. I've been maintaining and focusing on my weight-lifting. Tentatively thinking about bulking. I have continued to weigh and record my food, I weigh myself every morning and I sometimes have a very light day to reassure myself I can still do it. I'm a very nervous…

We have German Shepherd Dogs. They do not get peanut butter!!

:) Because otherwise you risk giving your husband the impression that he gets to tell you when you can do something with your body. That would be crazy. I would set targets to do with making the gym 10 times a month and/or lifting a certain weight by a certain time (easier to judge once you've tried for the first time!).…

Lose you are aiming to lose weight so that your clothes are loose. 8st in 52 weeks is probably a bit too ambitious, so I would set yourself some non-weight related goals too, such as dress sizes and exercise goals. Don't be discouraged if your new exercise DVD leads to you holding on to a bit of water weight. With luck…

I'm going to feel them in the morning MissH! Congratulations and a heartfelt thank you to all who post and inspire and encourage me with their dedication, their patience, their teaching and their achievements.

My advice? Go and get that tattoo today.
