Hi everyone. Typing slow today. I must have bent my right hand back when I was sleeping Saturday night because it was really sore when I woke up on Sunday. I suspect it is sprained. I'm trying not to use it as much as I can, but I'm right handed and it's difficult to not use it. When I took a shower this morning I couldn't…

When I want plain greek yogurt I usually eat Fage 2%, but Tillamook 2% is now my favorite flavored greek yogurts (vanilla and raspberry are my favorites). This stuff is so good. I tried their nonfat versions, but I didn't care for that, but I usually don't like nonfat yogurts.

Other than the obvious (tuna, chicken, fruits, etc.), I'll eat most food straight from the can as long as there isn't any fat build up in it (like in some soups and beans). Most canned veggies and beans are great cold for snacking or to toss in salads (just need to rinse them first). Cold clam chowder or chili would be a…

I don't participate anymore in anything that requires ongoing payments, like a gym or some silly diet pill or program. I have a good pair of walking shoes, a swimming pool, and spare room in the house for exercising and weight lifting, a really good blender (saved up for that thing), a kitchen scale, and a fitbit one.…

Quark. Not a new product, but new to me. I picked one up the other day for my Dad to try. He's not fond of the sour taste of yogurt, and I was told quark may be another option. Two thumbs down from us both. Has a chalking understate. Yuck. It's also hard to find (I finally found it at Whole Foods) and expensive ($2.30).

Thanks for the suggestion Isabella. Dad doesn't like the texture of Greek yogurt. I, on the other hand love Fage 2%. That's what I eat when I want plain yogurt. Glad to hear you are venturing out in the MFP forums. Lots of nice people out there (also lots of snarky people, but I just ignore them).

Hi all. Our weather finally cooled down some today. We didnt even get to the 90s. It was a nice break from that heatwave. Kind of taking it easy today. Right now I'm doing the laundry and watching TV. I recorded The French Connection on the DVR earlier today, so I think I'll watch that. Havent watched that in about 30…

I like to make my own cashew milk specifically to use as my coffee creamer. I just blend 1 cup unsalted dry roasted cashews with 4 cups water (a 1 to 4 ratio is what like, but that can be changed depending on how creamy or how watery you want it) and a tsp or 2 of vanilla extract. Don't need to pre-soak cashews like you do…

I'm like that too. Always tweeking new recipes. A friend of mine made these burgers, and tweeked too. I prefer the original recipe, but here's her changes quoting what she wrote... "I used adzuki beans instead of black, and took the suggestion to substitute a roasted sweet potato for half of the beans. I can’t compare that…

Oh, yum! ^^

The recipe already includes corn. I love the mushroom thought though. I never turn down mushrooms!
