I went through this for about 6 months when I started drastically cutting my food intake. It didn't matter what kind of foods I ate ...as I had a varied diet with lots of fiber. My thinking it is digestive system revolting. Don't worry. One day it will all pass and your system will start working again. I know exactly how…

How do we post our weight? I copied the format. Do we go back and find our original post and track it on this thread?

Just did my first try at doing a crunch...lol. Count me it!

I am a senior citizen who has lost 105 lbs in the past 18 months. I would like to know what you have to say about working with somebody my age, 68. I would like to be stronger but still have a little more weight to lose. I prioritized weight loss for a four months than started walking. I can do 3 miles in 50 minutes. I…

Difficult to find groups of people over 65...LOL. Glad I found this one.

I guess as we are older (68), this 1200 cal a day doesn't work. I gain on that! I'm 5'3 132. I've been eating that this week and have gained 2+ lbs. grrr.

Thank you! Yes, most of the young's skin will bounce back. It may take two years for most of it to shrink. I think many get so excited and just want to get on with their new life. Of course, there will be exceptions but there if a lot to say about being young. As stated, even mine has bounced back quite a bit, and that is…

Most every young person's skin will bounce back. I think most don't want to wait. I am going on 69 and lost over 100 lbs, so I think I may know what I am talking about. Even my skin has bounced back a little AND that's saying something!

OH..one more thing. I was a couch potato for 24 yrs before I did anything. Major health issues. One would think with my issues I would not have lived or waited so long to get off the sofa..

I'm here. I am 68 and a half. Everytime I find a Senior Board, it goes missing..LoL. I have lost 100 lbs in the past 18 months. I know the struggle. I joined MFP after the first 50 lbs. IMO, recording every drop of food is the key.

I'm in. I have never done a challenge. Thanks for organizing one.

I am 68 going on 69. I have lost 99 lbs in the past 18 months. I can tell you that it is't much different because we are older....at least that is what I have learned. Don't let people discourage you or put stuff in your head about how WE CAN'T do it because of our age, etc. I am proof that WE CAN. Good Luck to you!

Me too. I haven't been tracking my food. I needed to post to reopen our stories. We mature ones need to stick together!

I'm here. I am 67 and have been a couch potato for 24 yrs. I have wasted all my muscle and couldn't sit in a Jacuzzi because I float to the top...can't even sit..*sigh. So, I was 233 lbs. 6 months ago. Right now, I am 171. I didn't think it was possible. I got inspired and decided to get my brain out of the nonsense of…

ME...I started in Nov 13. I am 67 yrs old and have lost 50 lbs. Just joined here to chart the rest of the journey. I am getting pretty sad about now as if seems to be getting more difficult.

Very impressive! Can I ask how long you were with a personal trainer and what kind of workout did you do?

Is this thread closed? I just started reading and it is exactly what I need. I am 67 yrs young and was 234 lbs Nov 13, 2013. I joined here a few days ago at 184 lbs. I used to think it was impossible to lose weight at my age...not so! I wasted the past 20 years believing it. Thank you all for your stories, help and…
